I am a bit of a beef jerky connoisseur.
Old Trapper is much better than bigger name beef jerky.
It’s a medium cut, Soft chewable jerky Not too thick. Not petrified like others that are like eating shoe leather. It’s not greasy like some others.
Old trapper is Like Filet Minion while the competition is like an overcooked hamburger.
My favorite is the Teryaki. No one even comes close to Old trapper in the flavor department.
The only reason I give this 4 stars is because of the price. I can buy this product elsewhere for $12.99 (shipping included) for the same 10 Oz bag.
Right now it’s costing $19.99 on Amazon. I was paying $14.73 on Amazon 1 year ago. That’s a big difference . Especially when you buy 5 bags at a time.

The peppered is my favorite. This is my favorite brand but can’t always find this one. The pressed type is not as good. It is very tender. Very good flavor. The price was fair, about the same as the grocery store.

First of all the seller delivers this product typically next day and my Amazon Prime account covers the freight. This stuff is delicious. It has plenty of of Teriyaki flavor, the pieces of Jerky are the right size neither too big or too small, every bag I have received has contained fresh tender pieces of Jerky unlike many other brands that sell Jerky with the consistency dried out shoe leather, which is also flavorless and impossible to chew. This stuff is the bomb and I will keep buying it. My only complaint is that every time I order the stuff the price goes up and that is frustrating. I am sick of the old supply chain disruption excuse. Fortunately the price increases are not too extreme and the stuff is one of my guilty pleasures, so I will keep buying it.

I have purchased this Brand to many times to count and it is a great tasting product. The teriyaki is my favorite and it’s not as hard as the peppered version, which I also like. It works very well to use in ramen to add some additional flavor. I generally don’t buy Jerky that much anymore because it gets stuck between my teeth, and then I have to go use my water pick to get it out. However , it’s a good source of protein while dealing with this Covid-19 situation. I had stopped eating jerky all together because of it getting stuck all in my gums and between my teeth, but this stuff is addictive. I’ve tried other brands and I feel like I get the best quality and amount for the price. It’s far better than other brands I’ve purchased in the past.
The flavor is very good and the price is fair for the amount you get in each package. It is great for snaking and I would recommend this to anyone who likes jerky. I’ve purchased at least 25 or more packages of this product. Would be great to get a 2XL T-Shirt , Lol.
This has been a great snack as well as a good source of protein as we’re still in lockdown since March 7th. This also taste incredible in a crock pot full of brown beans with cornbread.
