First off, this seller is really prompt. This was my second order and both times came a day or two early. I am rather new to roasting and this is one of the first that I have tried, and one of the best. Can’t go wrong with this one.

Bean quality is good but some smaller beans make roasting a bit uneven.

Roasted up real nice

We have tried several green coffees but this one is the best by far. We appreciate the “farmer to table” feature and the consistent high grade quality. For the price, this is a great value. We roast our own coffee at home (Whirley-Pop method) to a light (“blonde “) roast and love the subtle chocolate and caramel notes with no bitterness.

Just roasted a batch and normally I wait a few days to brew to allow the bean to off-gas, settle in and so forth. But I thought, what the heck let’s do this! I did a pour over of your Guatemala right out of the roaster and it is delicious!!! I’ve never had a perfectly balanced cup right out of the roaster before. Normally there is some sort of nuanced flavor that, after allowing the coffee beans time to rest, will change and taste more appealing (although I love all the odd nuanced earthy/grassy flavors anyway so I’m not saying it’s a bad thing). But your coffee right out the roaster was absolutely perfect!! I hope you’re taking good care of these farmers because they deserve it. Good job guys! I’ll be buying more of this stuff for sure!!

After roasting these beans with my typical hot air popcorn popper, I was a little disappointed that the flavors that I come to expect from many Central American coffees, wasn’t there. I don’t know if, like a fine wine, it was just a bad year for this particular crop. It could have been my roasting but I’ve made some very good batches before with my method. I wish I knew for sure. Very quaffable (thanks Sideways :^) ) as it was quite smooth, but I was hoping for more.

My beans were not of poor quality. Mine roasted uniformly and tasted pretty good. My only issue is the taste is a little empty. Almost like a watered down taste. But as some cream and mmm it was good!

I roasted them to first crack or a cinnamon roast and just had my first cup after letting them de-gas for a couple of days and what a nice surprise. Take cream and sugar well. Highly recommend giving them a try.

First time I’ve bought raw coffee beans and roasted them myself. The process is super simple so it comes down to the quality of the beans and these guatamalan green beans are delicious. Start out with small bag to see if you agree.
