I’m on a weight gain journey and decided to use hemp seeds instead of whey protein powder in my morning smoothies. I tried hemp seed protein powder and it had a very earthy flavor & texture to it. Since I couldn’t get over the flavor I decided to buy just regular hemp seeds.
I now put these in my morning smoothies along with peanut butter, bananas, strawberries, oat milk & dates. I honestly don’t even taste them. However, I wasn’t the biggest fan when sprinkled over my food so I’ll stick to smoothies.

This product has been exactly what I was looking for. What I love most is that it’s shelf-stable, low in carbs, and non-GMO, making it a great healthy snack. It’s packed with nutrients and rich in Omega 3 & 6 which is an additional bonus. I do think the packaging could be improved and it’d be great if it had an organic certification. But overall, it’s a fantastic, healthful product that I highly recommend!

Big amount of rich nutty flavor. Eat them with a spoon right out of the bag. I really haven’t added them to anything except a smoothie. And that was a delicious addition. Great way of getting Omega 3.

I will never be a pure vegan, since I love dairy products and eggs, but anytime I can find a good plant-based protein, I’ll jump right on it. These hemp hearts were perfect. They’re yummy all by themselves (sort of a sesame flavor), and you can do so much with them. Smoothies are an obvious go-to – the hemp blends up nicely. But I also put the hemp hearts in curry, soup, cottage cheese, and dips, and it’s all tasty. (I haven’t tried them in muffins yet, but it seems like the obvious next step.)
Plus, this is a pretty good-sized bag, and not all that expensive. One minor thing: The serving size is listed as 3 tablespoons, which is considered 30 grams. But according to my kitchen conversion chart, 30 grams is just a bit over *2* tablespoons. So if you are trying to go by accurate serving size, just use two-and-a-smidge. Your package will last longer!

I was a little hesitant to try these. I wanted to add more Omega in my diet but hate fish. Omega vitamins come up on me with the fish flavor so obviously that is a no-go for me too. However, Hemp Hearts was the solution I needed to give my heart a health boost. Hemp Hearts are very small granules. They won’t dissolve in your food, such as yogurt, but at the same time, they don’t get soggy either. I have used Hemp Hearts in salad and in yogurt, the latter being my preferred. In salad, you won’t notice the hemp hearts. In yogurt, it gives my yogurt something for my teeth to chew, a small 1-time bite that wow my senses. The flavor of the yogurt does not disappear either. Awesome! I would highly recommend this as an easy addition to your diet.

I stumbled across Hemp Hearts from a video. We have been eating keto and I was looking for alternatives to cauliflower rice. This is amazing! It has a texture similar to Couscous and a mild nutty flavor. We haven’t tried them in smoothies or dessert items. I use them with stir fry, side dish, or in my Husband’s favorite, beef flavor with onion, crimini mushrooms and spinach. I am going to use them for a side dish for Thanksgiving.
