It mixes so well! I coat liver with it before frying and it tastes great. I make a slurry with it to dip chicken pieces in before dipping in bread crumbs to fry. It has a gazillion uses! I just love it.

This is great heavy cream powder. I’ve had many brands of cream powder, but I like this one the most. Anthony’s heavy cream powder is too sweet to me. I like how this one is less sweet, and more like heavy cream. It has a good smell and a fresh taste.

I love this stuff! The flavor is good, maybe a little sweeter than fresh cream. I put it in coffee, and also use it for cooking. (I never have milk in the house. If a recipe calls for milk, I use half cream and half water.)
I bought it for camping and for emergency prep; but I use it at home sometimes, just to finish off the jar before it expires. It keeps for a year or more even after the container is opened. When it turns yellow, I figure it’s time to throw it away and get more.
Mixing it is kind of funny: the powder is so light, it floats on top of the water for quite a while. If you want to make one pint of cream, use a 2-pint container with a tight-fitting lid. Then you can get the cream and the water in there, close the lid, and shake it. It will take an hour or so to fully rehydrate. Giving it another shake every 10-15 minutes will help.
I’ve also ordered cheddar cheese powder, and several kinds of dried vegetables, from this company. I’ve been happy with all of them. Amazon had some trouble with my last order, but the nice folks at Hoosier Hill got it straightened out. Bon appetit!

I love the versatility of this!

I love cream! Buying it “fresh” can be expensive and sometimes, kind of scary (if I buy it at one store, it has a 2-week shelf life; another store’s has 2 months …) I make my creamer from scratch (after several very expensive lessons on bad batches of my favorite commercial creamer), and I don’t drink a lot of coffee. My initial thoughts were “How can this be ‘real’ cream?” “There is no way this won’t have that ‘dehydrated’ taste/feel/scent…” … but ya know, a stable, long shelf-life dehydrated product can come in handy for emergencies. I seldom buy ‘fresh’ cream anymore! What convinced me that this was real dehydrated cream? The ‘fat’ globules. After a little experimenting, I found that (for me) 1/2 c powder to 1 c water works great. But I mix the powder with 1/2 c tap hot water first and shake well, then add 1/2 +/- c cold tap water and shake again (depending on how heavy you want your cream). Store in the fridge and shake often (every time I open the fridge, I give it a shake) for at least 24 hours. I have not tried to make whipped cream yet, but it froths up beautifully! Once made, the refrigerator life seems to last longer as well. I purchased the 2# jar. I can make what I need when I need it. I still have over half of it left. By now, I would have probably ended up throwing away most of at least 4 skinny cartons of ‘fresh’ cream … (about $32-$40 where I live), so $28 for a shelf-life stable that tastes so close to the real thing that you hardly notice a difference? Total win!! Can’t wait to try their Milk Powder!

I use heavy cream powder in my mushroom coffee to give it more flavor and body without any sweetener. This product tends to clump worse than another brand I have tried and, while less expensive, it is not 100% cream, label says nonfat milk in addition to cream. It is good but not the best. I note so many people give cream powder a bad review but please know, regardless of brand, cream powder is not coffeemate, not a “creamer” it is whipping cream in powdered form so it has no additional flavor and certainly no sweetener.

If your sauce is a bit soupy, this is great as it does not add to the clump/reduce factor like adding flour or more corn starch. Great stuff.

I keep the powder on hand for times without fresh dairy and also when out at the lake fishing!
Great product!

After reading the reviews, I thought I would try this product. I bought a frother, as all the reviews pointed to the importance for mixing. I made my first batch with my purified R/O water, and even warmed it up in the Microwave. It blended well and I used more powder than I thought I would, but I was looking for a rich taste and not watery. It did thicken up a bit, but the taste just was not what I expected. I added a little salt that helped just a bit, and then figured it would be better after a night in the refrigerator. In the morning I used it with my rich coffee and it did not look as creamy by a long shot as regular half and half like I am use to. I added some more, more than I would with half and half, and it just does not taste or look like what I am use to. I did have to shake it up first, and it had a little bit of granular texture even after sitting overnight in the refrigerator. I was actually disappointed, since I have had success with using powdered cheese in the past. If you are thinking this will save you money, I don’t think you will. I tasted it as a powder, and it just doesn’t taste that great. Nice container, nice powder consistency, nice price, but I am going to go back to the real thing. In conclusion, it probably tastes kinda like the powder cream that comes in packets in hotels. Perhaps it is great if you want zero or low fat in your coffee cream. You don’t know unless you try it, so I did. I will not be buying this again.

I found an ice cream maker that makes small batches of this treat and, by using this powder, I am able to save money, room in my freezer, and still have enough “not too much” deliciousness on hand at any time. I’m a repeat customer. Easy to use, store, and economical because it has no waste. Add fruit or flavoring and never get bored. Love it!
