I’ve tried ALOT of different brands of clarified butter and ghee. Rani Ghee is the very best. The flavor is better than butter! I use it in and on everything. It’s delicious! The only downfall is that it doesn’t solidify , which won’t stop me from using it. After buying a few jars , I finally put it in my subscribe and save. You won’t be disappointed with this clarified butter!

First off whomever performs their shipping did a great job. This thing could have survived a cyclone and come out unscathed!
I have used it already on several occasions. I really like this Ghee. Rani’s World Foods must be utilizing better quality butter for their Ghee. It seems to have a higher ‘burning’ temperature compared to than several others I have tried. Additionally your Ghee maintains a true slight buttery flavor. Rani’s World Foods really has a far superior product and while not the cheapest they certainly are not the most expensive. A truly great VALUE.

OMG……. We have tried so many kinds of ghee. This Ghee is AMAZING. Did I say amazing. This is a must have in the kitchen. It has the best flavor of all. Sweet and it taste like icecream. Thank you so very much for producing great ghee. Please stay in business. This ghee is pure love. Thanks again.

I really like that it doesn’t need refrigeration…have used on vegetables and toast…good flavor and sooo easy!

I do not believe this is pure clarified butter. When you melt it down, there are still milk solids in it. Before realizing this, I made a meal with this ghee and fed it to my grandson, who is highly allergic to dairy and he was sick for 3 days. (Which is his body’s response when he has dairy) I will be returning it. It taste good, is a good price, etc. I just don’t recommend it if you have a dairy allergy.

I subscribed for this product. And trying to cook only on ghee. As far as I’ve learned this fats are very beneficial to your guts and general health.

I understand ghee. Sometimes it separates, with a couple inches of oil on top. When that happens, one can simply stir it for a couple minutes to return it to optimal blended texture. Yet if that doesn’t work — the solid grainy bits can be stubborn, one can reliably reset the ghee by partially submerging up to 3/4 of the bottle into a pot of (not boiling! rather, med-low heat) hot water on the stove; don’t get any water inside the ghee because moisture affects its shelf-life stability. Stir the ghee every couple minutes until it fully melts, then remove from heat let sit for a few hours until it resets; room temperature storage is perfectly safe.
NOW THE REVIEW …
For several years I’ve purchased ghee from my favorite Indian market (Samosa House, Culver City). This market has close to 20 different types of ghee on sale, and I tried many for taste testing — Rani Desi Ghee is my favorite. From this source, the Rani ghee product was always excellent.
However now, because I’m without a car for a time, decided to purchase Rani ghee online. Here are my results:
– price of Rani ghee 32 oz bottle via Amazon is $5 (25%) higher vs. my local store
– aroma & flavor of Rani ghee via Amazon is remarkably different — weaker. The ghee Amazon just delivered smells & tastes like mild butter oil; the ghee from my local store has a richer, more delicious butter scent & taste
– product age from Amazon is newer (expiration date Nov 2022); from my local store product is older (expiration Mar 2021)
– ingredients of newer product says, “Grade A Unsalted Butter From Grass Fed Cows” vs. the older product which only says, “Clarified Butter”
– packaging of Rani ghee via Amazon says, “Ghee (Clarified Butter)” vs. from my local store label says, “Desi Ghee (Clarified Butter)”
Questions:
– does removal of the word, “Desi” from the more recent packaging mean production method has changed? does this explain the now weaker aroma & flavor?
To further test batch variation, I’ve subsequently ordered Rani ghee directly from the manufacturer (Rani’s World Foods) where they offer their Ghee at the best online price, and ship for free if order >$50 — so I simply ordered three 32 oz bottles. Not a problem; I use 32 oz about every 2 weeks. If the ghee characteristics direct from Rani’s World Foods are similar to the recent Amazon delivery (weak aroma & flavor), I’ll likely start seeking a different product; will probably first try Rani’s Nanak “Desi” ghee from a sense of brand loyalty — and surprisingly, Amazon’s 56 oz ghee price is better vs. Rani’s direct price.

Love Rani. This family owned company is doing it right! You get a huge bottle for around 30 bucks, it’s very high quality and feels “abundant”. Traditionally Indian communities regarded ghee as a sacred food, very lucky and auspicious because of how nutritious it is. This will last you a long time and is a great staple for adding in healthy fats to your diet. I like to melt it down and dip sandwiches in it!

I have purchased over 15 lbs of particularly this brand of ghee over the years as it is by far the best. Never had a problem with it. Every meal I cook uses at least 1 Tbsp of this product. It is a bit expensive, but you shouldn’t skimp on cooking fats. For general health purposes, always buy a quality, reliable cooking fat that will remain stable during the cooking process. This brand ticks all those boxes for me and always has.
***TO ALL THE PEOPLE FREAKING OUT ABOUT IT SEPARATING AND TO POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS CONCERNED ABOUT THIS:
When exposed to repeatedly fluctuating temperatures that go above its melting point and then back below, the product will separate slightly. If it separates a lot, that means the temperature fluctuated a lot during shipping. This does not mean it is bad, it just means: it got hot, then cold repeatedly. ALL GHEE DOES THIS. If your whatever other brand doesn’t do this, it is because it never got hot enough to do so after the manufacturing process, simple as that. Remember, this is CLARIFIED butter, which means it already got hot, and then cold. Normal part of the process.
If I store an extra jar in the cupboard above my stove, or receive a shipment in the summer, the same thing happens to me.
If you stir it and then put it in the fridge it will be perfect again, I promise.
This is normal, please stop hating on these guys because the sun is hot and simple things confuse you. It does nothing but deter future buyers, stress the company and drive prices up.

All in all: great product, highly recommend.

I’ve been searching for grass-fed ghee for awhile now, and I’m so happy I decided to purchase from this brand. Their claims are 1000% truthful and I absolutely love the fresh ghee scent….it’s most divine!!! You can also tell that this brand cares about their products and customers because of the way they secured this glass bottle for shipment. This is my second purchase and one bottle lasted 6 mths for a household of 5. You just gained a loyal customer!!!
