Smoked mussels which come from the waters of the Yellow sea near the Shan Dong Peninsula of China are free of heavy metals and biotoxins. The mussels are carefully selected for their quality, texture and size. Mussels are high in protein and did you know that they have nearly three times more iron than most meats. Try our naturally smoked mussels for a tasty snack.

Extremely small mussels. Mushy texture and no taste. Trowing box of 24 cans away.

Boil some pasta, open a jar of sauce, mix in the mussels with a little bit of their oil, zap 1-2 minutes in the microwave . . . and voila! A quick, tasty, and filling meal. I plan to keep these as a pantry staple.

The product is edible. But these mussels are not good quality. The texture is strangely firm with a mealy interior.
I won’t purchase again.
BELLA MIA –
They are tiny, tiny muscles but the flavor is very good/nice. I will buy again! Great on a nice spinach salad lunch.

I order these for my husband who loves them! He’s sure to have a can tonight to celebrate New Year’s Eve!

Great for a quick snack or added to other dishes including ramen. Sure it doesn’t compare to fresh oysters, but for the price and quality I’d have to recommend it for a bug out bag (Oil is wonderfully flammable and a great fire starter) or for a solid snack that you can add to other meals quite easily. The only thing I’d really warn about is that the packaging is the same as it was nearly 20yrs ago so be careful when pealing the lid, still it’s worth the price and a great product overall.

I’ve had smoked mussels before that were double the size of these. They taste great, but are quite small.

Hard to find item in grocery stores. Polar products are ok….not as flavorful as some other brands….but beggars vs choosers.

I bought these to mix in with spaghetti and butter which worked well (for one person you only need to use 2 maybe 3 tins).
The mussels were tiny but they were very tender and had a smoky flavor as described which leads to why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 stars for the flavor. To me they had a little too much smoky flavor than what I prefer But if you like smoked mussels with a lot of smoky taste, then these would be great for you I’m sure.
Since I bought 6 tins of them, the next time I use them I’m going to try and give them a good rinse to see if I can lessen the smoky taste.
Overall I’m happy with my purchase I just wished they’d use a little less smoke flavor. For that reason alone I’m not going to purchase again.
