Our Alaska Smokehouse Natural Smoked Salmon is characterized by a light pink color, fine texture and mild flavor. After being delivered to our smokehouse in Alaska within days of being caught, only the best salmon are selected for smoking. Once they are selected, the salmon are hand-filleted and soaked in a traditional Native American brine to then be hot smoked over alder wood fires. It goes through the smoke process to carry the brine throughout the entire salmon, making it one of the best tasting smoked salmon products on the market today. Finally, each fillet is inspected before it is sealed in a gold foil pouch, known as a retort, locking in the salmon’s freshness and rich flavor. The retort is then packed in our award-winning gift box for further protection. All the while no preservatives, coloring, oils, or artificial ingredients are ever added to these Kosher-certified Natural Smoked Salmon fillets. Our Natural Smoked Salmon fillets are great for entertaining! Serve them as appetizers with crackers or use them in smoked salmon recipes, which can range from a wonderful Salmon Quiche to a mouthwatering Salmon Fettuccini. The salmon taste was strong and it was very “smoky” flavored, but it was really salty and came with a lot of brine in the foil pack, which was strong-smelling and unexpected.

As a single person who does not like to cook, I was seeking an easy source of protein. This fits the bill. I just cut it open then slid it on a plate and began to eat.
The amazing flavor was a pleasant bonus.
When I bought it there was a discount that made it very appealing. Yet without the discount, it is a good deal.

Shipped in a BAG. Product packaging crushed. Looks like crap. How am I going to give them as a gift . Looks like they were ran over by a truck.Have bought product on vaca in Washington state. Product is tasty yummy. If you look beyond the packaging. Never again. Will have Seattle family pick up and ship.Getting more and more disgusted with Amazon. Negetive report so probably never see the light of day.

I normally buy canned salmon fillets and add them to what I’m cooking and don’t get complaints from the household. Unfortunately when I did the same with this, the fishy smell was overpowering and despite trying to make sure everything was clean the smell clung to the kitchen for several days and my partner was complaining the smell was making her nauseous. I’m not sure I’ll be buying this again.
I can’t even remember how it tasted the smell was that memorable.

I open the foil bag and was hit with a smell of cat food. On the third, I remove the portion from the gold foil bag and saw what looked like cat food. I broke off a piece of a soggy fillet and tasted it, and found it had the texture of cat food. I’ve never tasted cat food, but I imagine the taste was very much like cat food.
This is a horrible product. Do I need to say it: I don’t recommend it.

The product is great. Unfortunately, I was giving them as gifts and the boxes were smashed and torn. That was disappointing, as in the past the boxes arrived in an amazon box and not a plastic bag.

I love smoked salmon and this flavor was just off. I took one bite and threw the rest in the trash. Alaskan here and I can not recommend this one.

The flavor is exceptional! I have not had smoked salmon in over 45 years and finally ordered this. It was wonderful! I put some on a bagel with cream cheese. It took me back to when I was a child and a friend sent my family a half salmon he caught and had smoked. It is a small package, so better order accordingly if you expect friends to dive in.

I grew up in Alaska, so I’m spoiled when it comes to good salmon. Having said that, I’ve only ever bought salmon in a can one time, because I’d never had it before. This product was on par with that experience. There was no smoky flavor, and it was packed in one of those tinfoil UHT type bags, packed in ‘slime’ for lack of a better word. For the price I certainly didn’t expect a rich flavorful salmon candy, but I was not expecting something this bad.
