Originally from China where theyve been treasured for thousands of years, Melissas Asian Pears are ripened on the tree and harvested by hand. They are remarkably refreshing, with a mild, sweet pear flavored flesh and a crisp, crunchy apple-like texture. Ideal for eating in their natural state, and best when slightly chilled, sliced or diced Asian Pears also make a delicious addition to sweet and savory salads and stir-fries. Melissas Asian Pears, one of Asias best loved fruits, are now one of Americas favorites too.

The fruit was pithy and flavorless. The grocery store fruit a much better.

This fruit arrived on time, but it was FAR smaller than the Apple Pears I had been buying. It wasn’t firm with a nice crunch and juice that should have run down my fingers and it wasn’t as robust in flavor.
I will never order them again, especially not from "Melissa!"

Very tasty and fresh

First off the flavor of these is wonderful. I would have given it a 5 except for the following reason
For $32.75 for 6 pears – 2 of them were damaged. One was actually bruised and cracked. Another one had a large bruise on it. Quite expensive for damaged produce.
I don’t know what the answer is to the except maybe better packing (carboard packing that fits around each pear maybe….like the pre-formed ones.

6 pears were in the package. 3 of them were rotted. I had to throw them out. The others were very soft . Very unhappy.

Hey good produce
Sandra K. Harding –
The fruit was picked too soon. Hard and no flavor whatsoever.

I won’t buy it. Not worth the money and not even ripe. No taste

I was disappointed it was the pears was yellow, instead of the orange color of the Asian pears I wanted. It was delicious still, but it didn’t match the picture shown.

I’ve had Asian pears. These are the size of normal grocery store pears. These aren’t even close. The flavor is lightly sour and bland, no sweetness. Better pears from Publix for 1.99 lb. Also they came bruised. Horrible experience. $30 lesson NEVER AGAIN! Stay away if you really like Asian pears.
