I had to remind myself this is freeze dried. That said, it’s exactly what I expected. Everything is well packaged, so the claim of 25 years will probably stand true. When I first opened the bag, there was an odd odor, but it didn’t last. Probably just me. The flavor is good! My only issue is this product is pricey, so I removed a star.

Dolcientis Freeze Dried Turkish Apricots are wholesome in that apricots are the only ingredient, and these have no added sugar or sulfites (per the label). I think of apricots as nutritious but can’t tell from the label if these are vitamin rich or not. The pieces are small and crunchy but aren’t too hard and are easy to chew. These apricots taste tangy and sweet from naturally occurring sugar. I like the taste but don’t think these taste as flavorful as dried apricot halves or fresh apricots. These are a portable and convenient snack. Like it. 4 stars. Product of Turkey.

You’ll notice there’s just a single ingredient on the package here: apricot. What you see is what you get: freeze dried apricots. The usefulness of such an item is obvious. Apricots are a tasty fruit and one which is rarely in season. With this, you can have apricots anytime. Sort of.
Freeze-dried apricots with nothing added make for a sour, tart snack. There’s only 50 calories in a serving, five servings per bag, and my order came with five bags. So there is clear value, especially when considering how much time, effort, and money would be required to consume the equivalent amount of fresh apricots, which again giving vegetation seasons is not even feasible. So, that part I like. But, the taste isn’t amazing. Maybe a little sugar would have helped, but I’ve had freeze-dried fruit where they are full of sugar and that’s obviously not great for your health. So I guess add your own sugar as you need maybe.
I appreciate the simplicity of this and as something that’s different from the everyday snacks you’re tired of, there’s appeal. I just doubt anyone, even apricot enthusiasts (which I’d consider myself to be), is going to love the taste of these as is.

I received a box of sleeves of these as promised so that went great. However, the product box was soaking wet and mildewy and the outer shipping box wasn’t. So I question what conditions exist where these are being stored. As for the product itself, when I shake the bags, it sounds like there are crunchy bits inside. I just need to figure out if I feel safe eating them.
SubjectiveObjective –
I’ve been eating dried apricots (the chewy kind) since I was about knee high. This is by far a nicer culinary experience as far as I’m concerned. They’re still not too sweet (which I like), but the freeze drying process makes them crispy and airy and they’re also not as sour as “old school” dried apricots. I could easily go through a bag in one sitting if I let myself.

I have tried several freeze dried items, these aren’t bad but aren’t great either they are ok/good. They do taste like apricots and have that light crispy freeze dried texture . They do come I packaged well also and come in a bag that would be good for travel/ trips if you do like them for a snack. The reason I didn’t love them is they are a bit sour at times and also there are some pieces that are pretty hard and didn’t seem to be free dried properly. If I was looking for a freeze dried fruity snack I would luckily chose something else however if I was making trail mix with other sweet items this would likely be a good addition to level out some of the sweet with this tangy. Now if it was the end of the world or I needed them as emergency food I would eat these and I bet I would have a different opinion being an emergency situation they would be good for that a well

This are actually very tasty. Now granted, they are freeze dried, so it’s not a piece of fruit — hydrating and healthy, but its fruit that’ll last if you’re in a pinch.
I like the taste. It’s good to have these on hand. Would I eat them as a snack? No. But I would if I had nothing, or not the real thing.

We ordered these Dolcientis Freeze Dried Turkish Apricot Sliced bags to add to our snack selection as we try to make healthier choices as we age. They came in a set of 5. Each bag holds quite a lot of apricots! The bag size says 70 grams (2.47 ounces), reduced from 770 grams (24.7 ounces, or a pound and a half!) of fresh apricots.
If you’re not familiar, freeze-dried items are crisp, not chewy like dehydrated fruit can be. The texture, because all of the water is removed, is very different than a fresh piece of fruit. However, all of the nutrients The taste of the items I received is very good.
These apricots are grown in Turkey. No sugar is added, and there are no additives of preservatives. They are sliced before being freeze dried, which makes them convenient sizes for snacking!

I’ve never had freeze dried apricots before, so this was a real treat. There are five individually packaged bags in a box, and each package is resealable. There are lots of dried apricots in here. They are sweet with a tartness, because there’s no sugar added to this, and these really do reconstitute well, if I add some water to them. I like adding them to oatmeal and also to couscous dishes as well. If I’m adding it to couscous, I will soak them in water for a while, but for oatmeal, I don’t mind the crunchy texture. These are very good and extremely addicting. I like eating them by themselves as well as a snack.

I tried this Dolcientis Freeze Dried Apricot, I think it is fine.
The whole package comes with 5 bags of apricot, each bag contains 2.47oz volume. As you can see from my photo, I think it is a decent size. Different from traditional dried apricot, this is freeze dried apricot. Basically the fresh apricot is thinly sliced and freeze dried, this results in the dry and crispy texture.
I like how simple the ingredient is, there is no sugar, no additives, no preservatives added, apricot is the only ingredient. It doesn’t taste super sweet, just the natural sweetness from the apricot. It is pretty easy to chew on the apricot. After eating, I do notice it will stuck on my teeth a little bit, but it is not a big deal and I really don’t mind.
Overall, I think this freeze dried apricot makes a healthy crispy snack, it has the similar texture as traditional potato chips, but it is way more healthier than potato chips. You can also add into your morning cereal if you like, I think it will complement well with the cereal.
