I bought these originally to try to fill lunchboxes. I was tired of the Sunmaid and other brands of raisins that you can’t ever just shake out some due to them sticking together terribly! Plus they always seem to be over sweet if that makes sense. These ARE HUGE!! Even dried they are almost 3/4″ in length! They come out of the bag individually, and are NEVER sticky, even when you get close to the end of the bag! They have tremendous flavor and still have lots of moistness in them also if that makes sense. This is my second order and I will keep ordering them from now on. As a mom to other moms… the seal on these bags is great also – the ziploc feature stays closed even when dropping on the pantry floor, so no lost raisins and they stay fresh to the very end!

Even though I got a couple of negative from some customers, I think these raisins are excellent. I realize that they contain some oil but it helps keep them separated instead of coming out of the bag in big clumps. Because I have bad arthritis in both hands I always had a difficult time separating the ones I used to buy which had no oil.
This is my second review for a recent order which was a disappointment. The raisins are very dry and hard and nothing like the ones I got the first time. I will buy once more and if they are still dry and hard, I will be returning them.

When we could not longer find large, plump, black raisins at the grocery store, we turned to Amazon to see if they had some. It took a while looking over the selections until we found these. These are excellent. Large, plump and flavorful. May not buy the ones at the store again when/if they every get them back.

These black raisins are definitely jumbo, about twice the size of your average raisin with a lovely texture and a subtly sweet taste. You can taste the grape there underneath. No sour tang or cloying sickly sweetness- the taste is more rounded & uniform.
Thankfully there is no oil in this product! And yet there is no stickiness at all nor mangled mashed raisins or clumps. Each raisin is individual, dry with a distinct delicate skin & a chewy center. Superb for snacking.
This is my second 5lb bag and they both were as described above. Absolutely no stems or seeds to speak of, there is nothing unexpected. I have tried other brands hoping for a less expensive delicious raisin but found nothing consistently of good quality. These type of raisins I believe are considered flame, and the other jumbo flame available are much more expensive. The bag actually shows a “Best By” date for 9 mo from now. Also lists the ingredients: “ Raisins. Picked and dried at the peak of ripeness.”

In the past I’ve gotten raisins from Trader Joe’s but decided to try these. Mostly they are large and flavorful. They do have a few smaller ones mixed in, but not so many to ruin the quality. I’ve baked twice with the raisins and look forward to using them again. In the meantime, I’ve snacked on a few of them. I will order them again when needed.

The raisins were not jumbo sized..not like the first bag I bought from this company. Even though the first bag of “jumbo” flame raisins were Ok, in sizes, 10% were jumbo to less than jumbo. This second bag, I would say only 2% were jumbo and the rest were kinda sour and not juicy, but small in size..kinda disappointing and I will not order again from this company till I see a guarantee in consistent jumbo size.the first bag was better tasting too..this is not so great tasting..really a let down.

I had high hopes for these raisins based on the reviews and was anxiously to try them when they arrived. They are much larger than a normal raisin, but they are not very tasty. I like to eat raisins straight out of the package, and unfortunately, I found them to be a little bitter, not sweet as expected. Not as good as my Sunmaid usuals. Maybe I like them in cookies, but not what I wanted.

I ordered these raisins after ordering from 4 different sellers for 1lb each trying to find the closest raisins to the Uzbek raisins my family enjoyed for a long time ordering overseas but starting to get really costly. After deciding on the best in 4 different raisins I was about to order a 5lb package (yes we eat alot and finish it in about 2 months a family of 5) and amazon recommended this one almost 40% lower in price. I bring the picture to max on my screen and put a handfull of the raisins (the ones I picked as the best) on the screen next to the picture and they look almost identical in texture and I went ahead and took a risk. I am glad I did, these taste great espcially with peanuts or hazelnuts as snack. They arefull of flavour, a nice texture not too chewy or not relaly soft. Also store bought raisins has usually a slight coating of an oily residue which I do not like at all and these do not have that. I will be ordering more once we finish large bag we got just hoping to get the same quality.
