I began using this product as a coffee creamer, and it is great for that. However, I soon discovered that it works well for any use or recipe that calls for milk, yet is non-dairy. Good with cereal! I even use it for baking. Buying the six-carton pack only saves a few dollars, but lets me keep it on hand so I don’t run out.

Others reviewers are incorrect, this Califa Farms coconut cream almond milk does NOT foam at all and is fairly bland! Wouldn’t buy again and now I have 6 to get thru!

Was very surprised! Bought is because I’m on keto and can’t stand black coffee. This stuff is delicious!

Coconut forward, it will definitely make your coffee taste like coconut. Good balance though, as the almond simmers it down a bit, yet the almond doesn’t poke through. I tend to find that almond milk ruins my coffee (even though I like it for everything else), so I took a chance on this because of my favorable impression of other Califia products. It’s good. Just have to like coconut.
Thay being said, it isn’t as creamy as their Unsweetened Barista Blend Oat Milk , which is very creamy and has a neutral taste that works well in my coffee. I love it, maybe too much.. haha.. as I keep buying it. I prefer my coffee black, but when I have some of their oat milk in my fridge, I cant help but grab for that. In comparison, I am not grabbing for this coconut & almond blend. It isnt bad, it just isnt quite doing it for me. I use it when I make one of my weird, slightly off putting coffee blends (my 2nd coup of coffee is used as a vehicle for some supplements. If I dont want to make a real smoothie, I use my coffee to put it all into. That makes for some strange flavors. This creamer helps mask some of it, and helps give it some normal flavor).
I love that it is shelf stable until opened, so it is a welcome addition to my pantry and preps. Also works in a pinch for smoothies and other food preparations that could use some coconut/almond milk. Nothing bad that I can see. Really like this brand, so try some stuff out until you find a perfect match. For me, it is the barista blend I linked to.

This is my forth purchase of this 6-pack of creamers, needless to say We love it! I haven’t had any clumps, just nice creamy milk that froths hot or cold, and makes a perfect creamy coffee or tea. The taste is excellent with chai powder for homemade chai lattes! I highly recommend for a non-dairy creamer alternative!

AT LAST! The perfect substitute for milk for my young son and me! We cannot have dairy and have tried many varieties and brands of dairy-free milk, from rice to coconut to cashew to almond, including homemade and store-bought. Hands-down this has the best flavor and a nice creamy texture that makes a cup of coffee, a smoothie, or a bowl of cereal a delight – instead of a punishment – to enjoy, and with minimal added ingredients. I was purchasing the 16 oz containers at Whole Foods but they cost about the same as the large size on Amazon so I’m thrilled to have found this case option for the large containers and at such a reasonable price. My one wish would be that there could be an organic option for this; we try to eat all organic and definitely almonds should be produced organically…. so if that option comes along I will jump at it. Meanwhile we will enjoy this very much. To those who say this has too much fat, it has 6 g per cup and it’s all healthy fat, and with zero sugar. Regardless, I’m happy to be able to add these extra calories to my son’s diet as he is very thin and giving him almond or rice milk in smoothies offers almost nothing by way of fat which he really needs. Thank you Califia!!

I bought a case of these cartons as a substitute for non-fat half and half in my two daily cups of coffee. I blame my doctor, who is a nut about “plant-based lifestyle;” I was trying to follow at least some of her recommendations.
This has roughly the same level of creaminess as a low-fat dairy product, and I know coconut milk is really good for you, but . . . it still tastes like coconut, with a somewhat bitter aftertaste, and I really don’t care for it. I am using up the cartons but will not likely buy more.

My all time favorite dairy free creamer! I can’t find it at local stores, so I’m glad to have the option to buy online. Only complaint is that the seal tab often breaks and won’t come off. I end up having to use a knife to pry it off and usually make a mess.

Edit – 1 year after leaving the following review I want to report that Califia has apparently fixed the gloopy, latex paint-like formulation, and reintroduced the prior water-like formulation. I am on the 4th quart of my continuous subscription 6-pack, and all 4 have been great. Without knowing for sure, they simply cut way down on the ‘gum’ ingredients. I only went to 4 stars because to be clear, the new formulation seems to be even thinner than the original (Tan cartons). It still tastes great, but it does pour like water now. Thank you Califia! Previous post for history sake: I have been using the ‘tan’ version for several years now and loved it (I get 6-packs from Amazon) – even with the sub-optimal initial opening mechanism. The new version is basically too disgusting to use. In my opinion it reminds me of pouring extra thick, latex paint into a roller tray. My daughter saw it yesterday and she says it reminds her of a baby’s regurgitated milk. Either way, it is basically too thick to ‘use’, as I pour it onto my daily oatmeal. It is simply too ‘un-natural’ in its new texture/thickness. It literally sits on top of the oatmeal, like a thick, white oil spill, until I mix it into the cereal, at which point it ‘disappears’. The taste is fine, but I will probably have to look around for an alternative, which is shame, because I went thru this process several years ago and this was the best option! Does the product manager at Califia realize how much they changed the product? Carton color and opening mechanism is one thing, but why change such a simple product, which was already great, into something so visually un-appealing?

several nut/ plant based brands separate in hot coffee. Since moving from another state I have not found a coconut + nut based creamer similar to what I had been using until I looked on Amazon. I have returned or thrown out several alternate brands because they separate after 1 day in the fridge. Stores do carry many non-dairy creamers, but not unsweetened or unflavored. This creamer from Califia Farms is great…it behaves like half and half, tastes great, and can also be used in baking. Having a shelf-stable (until opened) creamer in the pantry saves me shopping time and trips carrying groceries.
