I usually get veggies fresh or frozen but since the covid shutdown, I switched to things that I can buy in bulk and store in my pantry rather than taking up freezer space for pricier perishables. It had been a while since I had a can of peas, lol. These are as good as canned peas can get. They are firm little peas in what they call a single serving size but that would be an awful lot of peas for one person. In my world, this serves two heaping servings of sweet peas that are firm enough for casseroles and tasty enough to serve with a little butter on top. I might skip frozen peas from now on. Especially now that I know the cans are recycled quickly to make more cans for more peas.

Tastes a lot better than expected with no added salt. However can size is smaller than I expected and the peas aren’t baby sized either like in their peas with salt. However, I’m satisfied with it since it’s helping my health.

I do not want to open a can of vegetables, use half of it in one meal, and I may not use the remaining half my next meal. Therefore, I am an advocate of vegetables in 8 ounces cans.
I open two or three small size tin cans, I use all the contents in one healthy meal, and I am not left with a collection of plastic containers occupying too much space in my refrigerator.
These ‘Del Monte Sweet Peas’ with no salt added fit my needs perfectly. They are the right size. They are healthy. They are top notch quality. Unfortunately to a single guy like me, these sweet peas is the only vegetable that come in ‘one serving’ size.
Families are well-served with one pound of vegetables in tin cans. Single guys are not.
