I’ve always loved the flavor of dried plums, they are so sweet and delicious. If you haven’t tried them cut up on oatmeal yet that is a real treat. Why add brown sugar when you put some plums on your oatmeal! This bag is filled to the brim with soft delicious dried plums that are also organic. Really I’ve never tasted any plums that were better. The only deal is these plums are all together in one bag. So it isn’t like the other bags of plums where they are in individual portion controlled bags. So think of this as a “bulk” bag of dried plums. You’ll be happy to have these and they are a real deal!

When I opened the bag, I was startled to find the prunes were a bit gooey and moist. Checking the ingredients list, I found that the vendor adds water to them before packaging. This has three effects:
1. As the prunes are softer than usual, it’s easy to eat them right out of the bag. No soaking is needed (it’s already been done for you.)
2. Some of the weight you are paying for is water, not prunes.
3. If you do eat the prunes with your fingers, your hands will get sticky and gooey.
These prunes are tasty, to be sure, but when I buy dried fruit, I’d rather pay only for the fruit and add the water, if needed, myself. For that reason, I don’t think I’ll buy these again. If you are looking for pre-soaked dry fruit, these might be for you.

These are sweet prunes packed tightly at a good price. They tend to be small but not as small as fully dried prunes.
