I had a Panasonic nose trimmer for years, finally expired. I found 2 cheap options (Chinese) with so many reviews, I decided to try. Garbage. Trimming was inaccurate and even the rechargeable battery life was poor after 2 months of use. Tried another one, cheap Chinese, also with many reviews, and the same.
I was unable to found Panasonic trimmer, so I decided to purchase this Phillips. Great trimmer. And have options to cut eyebrows (I’m 56 year old, my eyebrows grow like crazy) with one of the 2 adapters (Short or Large, your choice, I tried first with Large, just in case) and is great with ears too. Is not rechargeable but I bought it months ago, use it almost 4-5 times a month, and it feels like new.

Now that I am in my 40s I am noticing that whatever gene turns off growth when hairs get long enough has stopped functioning reliably. This trimmer does a really nice job of cleaning out your nostrils and ear-holes without any discomfort at all… so much better than the last one I tried that would yank and pull until I was sneezing and had tears in my eyes. This also comes with a guide to do eyebrows, so if you get those rogue hairs that want to grow 3 inches long before they fall out, this takes care of those too.

Just got this and it is very nice! It is a good size and you can hold it in your hand and have control. It is not tiny/delicate. It works and trims and does what it says it does. You don’t have to go over an area twice or three times – it works the first go round. It takes only 1 battery, so have some good rechargeable batteries on hand. Have used for legs and finishing eyebrows so far. Really easy to switch between functions. Super happy with this! 10/10

…the Detail Trimmer works very well, but the attachment and combs for eyebrow trimming don’t cut very well at all – back to the drawing board on that feature…the eyebrow trimmer doesn’t cut as effectively as the Philips Norelco Series 3000 unit that I have used for many years…the combs of the Series 3000 unit (see attached photo) cut the eyebrows much more effectively than the inferior design of the Nose Trimmer 5000’s eyebrow attachment and combs!!!…regardless of that drawback, I recommend the purchase of the 5000 since the Detail Trimmer operates so smoothly!!!…when installing the attachments, pay attention to ensure proper alignment…

The nose shaver is the only one that works well, granted that’s the main reason why I bought it but the other trimmer for eyebrows is useless. Just doesn’t work which is why I’m removing one star.

Bought this primarily to trim nose hairs and my old nose hair trimmer broke. Opened it up and it works like a charm! Had my nose clean of the stray nose hairs and will have this handy dandy tool to clean the caves when necessary. I didn’t feel any pulling of hairs and the blade cuts quite well. However, that is only because I used it brand new, and maybe over time the trimmer will get duller. As of right now, I have nothing but good things to say about the nose hair trimmer attachment!
