I ordered two boxes of these from Warehouse Deals. One of the boxes had bags in good shape, relatively translucent and shiny, and just as resilient as BioBags. The other box had bags that were opaque and matte in appearance. When I tried to unfold one of those, it tore very easily. I saw that "Defective" had been written on the top of that box and realized that the second box must have been re-stocked in error after a return. I sent the defective box back and got a full refund. For the other box, we’ve used all the bags without a problem. It looks to me as if these bags are designed to self-destruct after a few months on the shelf, so just make sure you get bags that are "fresh" and use them in a timely manner. We’ve been very happy with the ones that worked.

The manufacturer of this product does not have their process under control, and 30 out of the 90 bags (3 boxes) that we received recently have defective SIDE SEALS THAT ARE UNSEALED so they CANNOT BE USED. These are expensive bags and the manufacturer should not be turning out defective product. We had to test every one of the 90 bags to see which ones were defective, which turned out to be 1/3 of the total. We are returning one box of the 30 defective bags, and now we have to waste more time looking for an alternative product. Seriously, what is hard about making bags with side seams that are properly sealed? Ridiculous.

Nice Big Bags for fall time leaves. Worked great.

Good bags, wish they were made a little thicker like 1.1 mm instead of .85. subject to tearing, have to watch what you put into them

Just what they promised.

These bags are pretty sturdy for a compost bag. Most bags just fall apart and we have a lot of compost so we can’t have flimsy bags. I was in Costco and saw that regular bags are .9 mil and these are .85 mil – so pretty close to a regular weight trash bag.
You can still damage these, they WILL tear and they can’t sit for a long period of time in the can(s) before dumping because, hello!, compostable! 🙂 But compared to OTHER brands we’ve tried, these are by far the sturdiest. They have some sizes available in a 1.1mil as well, so if you want something even thicker, try to find what you need in a 1.1mil bag.
Our custodial staff seem to think these bags, however, are so much better than any other compostable bags we have tried. I won’t name names, but it is one of the most easily found compostable bags on the market and they are super flimsy. If you need something sturdier, try these bags out. They come in a number of different sizes.
If you are trying to run a Zero Waste Facility, having compostable trash bags really makes you a lot greener. I actually tracked down the manufacturers of this product and asked some questions and they were very helpful.

Bags tear so easily you can’t open them up to use them. If you do manage to open them, you can’t put anything in them without them ripping at the seams. A total wast of money!

Way too big, for the thickness. Don’t think of loading anything too heavy in these bags, because they will break.

Fit my dumpster just fine. But every single bag I unfolded had seams stuck together. No matter how gently I tried, I was not able to open the bag all the way without the seams coming apart. Pretty useless; I ended up using duct tape to patch them so they’d be at least somewhat useful. Very disappointed, will not buy again.

The bags were nice and thick. Worked great for our event composting and did not seem to rip or damage the cardboard receptacle. Would use again!
