Composting is a great way to recycle, reduce and reuse waste, but it isn’t always as easy as some make it seem. Here’s a little secret: The key to successful composting is choosing the right type of compost bags. While some composting bags tear easily or don’t hold much, ours are exceptionally strong and offer an impressive capacity. It’s true. The extra thick 0.71 milliliter compostable bags each hold up to 2.6 gallons! Use the 100% compostable bags in a small kitchen, in the break room at the office or in the cafeteria. Each value pack contains 100 total composting sacks, so you should have plenty for many months to come. (We also carry the compostable bags in larger quantities if needed.) There are strict regulations placed on composting accessories, but our composting trash bags are completely compliant. This means you can safely use them knowing they won’t sit in a landfill somewhere if tossed out. – 2.6 Gallon Capacity – 100 Count Box – Safe & Certified – Strong & Easy to Use Primode’s compstable bags will change your life. Works well. This is my second box of 100. Use as a liner in kitchen composting pail. Breaks down reasonably quickly in outside bin.

We used up the old econ bags for kitchen scraps and decided to try another brand. Came across this one online and saw many good reviews about it. The price was also very reasonable. So I placed the order on Saturday night to give it a try. The bags came Sunday afternoon, just in time as I already used the last bag from inventory.
Our previous bags say they are biodegradable, but leak several times after we throw in the food scrap with some moisture into the bags, or do not take out the bags after two days – the moisture just sips through and then the bag falls apart at the bottom. You can imagine there’s a mess to clean up, plus I need to double-bag the broken bag!
This bag also says it’s biodegradable, but I feel it’s thicker than the other brand, which is a good sign. The bag can still fit our disposal bucket, but I wish it is slightly taller so it won’t fall in if I put much stuff at once. When I take out the scraps after two days, there’s slight moisture inside the bucket, which is similar to the situation previously, but the bag holds up very well. – 1. it did not fall apart; 2. the bottom did not get “translucent”, which indicates the bag was at the brink of breaking; 3. it still held up when I stretched the top to tie up the bag. I was really impressed.
Overall, I am very happy with the bags in terms of speed of their delivery and product quality of the bags, and will definitely recommend to others who want to try econ bags for kitchens. The only suggestion I may have is to have the bags folded individually inside the box, instead of in a roll. Sometimes, my hands may be full or dirty when I try to get a new bag out of the box. Having it in the roll would be less convenient than having the bags already folded individually. But this may increase the complexity in production. So I can live without it. Thank you, Primode!!

Thin and the perforated end tears easily, but they are strong enough to get a fairly heavy load from scrap bin to green waste bin.

I purchased these in May of 2022. I’m just now almost out and shopping for another refill.
We use these in a countertop compost container and change them weekly and I use them for cat litter at times.
I have 0 complaints after 1 year of use. They work great. They’ve lasted me over a year too, so that’s incredible. They hold up well to standard use. Like I said, we change them about weekly depending on compost accumulation. The bag is still holding up at a week. Will it leak if we put liquid in it and let it sit for a week? Yes. That’s expected.
Rip? Yes. They rip if I’m rough on them and rip them out of the compost contrainer when they’re stuffed full. That’s expected too.
Gonna buy these again. Would recommend.

I love these bags BUT there needs to be an expiration date. I use these regularly, so purchased an extra pack to have on hand. Probably sat for 6 months. They are disintegrating, which of course by design but consumer should know how long they can be stored and maintain their strength.

Great for food scrap recycling.

I’ve been using these bags for a couple of years now and they’re just a great, solid biodegradable bag! I can’t imagine switching to another one any time soon. I use these for bagging my compostable food waste as well as other compostable items (kleenex, papertowels, paper napkins, etc.) and I find you can pack them surprisingly full and they hold up very well. I rarely ever have one leak and I do put quite a bit of liquid in them from time to time (i.e. milk that’s gone bad). To be on the safe side I set the bag in something (like a countertop compost bin or a plastic grocery bag) to catch the very rare leak. I’m always amazed at how long the bags last with food in them – for us it’s easily 2-3 weeks. We drop off our compostable items once a month and because of that timing, we also frequently freeze the full bags and we never have any problems. Again, we set them in something so they don’t tear or rip when we take them out of the freezer. Any item that’s long or spiny or sharp corners (i.e. pineapple leaves, fennel stalks, big rosemary sprigs, watermelon rinds), we definitely cut to smaller pieces because it will easily poke through the bag, but we don’t feel that’s a hassle. Overall an excellent product and great value for the price!

Comes in a 300 count box for twelve cents a bag. Good value for the quality.

They do leak a little if you aren’t changing then often. I didn’t have much waste so I left it for a little too long. Otherwise great product!

I have ordered these bags many times. There is something wrong with this lot. Almost every bag tears down the side or the bottom drops out. Not useful in a garbage bag.
