Love these produce storage containers!! I purchased several many years ago and they continue to work great!
I didn’t have any this size so I thought I’d order them for when I get red/yellow/orange peppers and the containers are a bit different than the ones I bought previously. The difference is that there isn’t a green insert that laid at the bottom to keep produce off any extra water. These however have little “bubbles” the keep produce up and I think I like it even better, especially since it is one less thing to clean.
While I purchased this size for peppers, they of course can be used for other produce items. I recently tried putting cilantro in the contain and WOW what a difference!
I would purchase these again and/or as gifts. They are an absolute must for lettuce, cilantro, berries and the list goes on!

…but I discovered something I didn’t expect.
The item arrived in an Amazon grey bag, no inner packaging with a generic bar code stuck on (missing a “Rubbermaid” factory label). Something told me that this item may have been used and returned.
So naturally, I got it ready to load in the dishwasher before I used it (description online says it’s d/w safe). But I didn’t trust the air vent. How does the water get out of there? So tried to pull the air vent cover off. It was really stuck on but I could tell it *should* be removable. Using a knife to pry the filter cover off (it does not come off easily), it finally gave and flew onto my counter. But what is this? A tiny woven filter? Yes, there’s actually a small oblong shaped paper-ish filter in the air vent space. Good thing I was determined to take the cover off!
So, I can’t tell youf if this container actually works for my purpose yet so I only gave it 3 stars for now since it was so difficult to remove the vent cover to get to the filter. (I bought it to store big blocks of cheese. You know how hard it is to find the right size container for cheese that isn’t air tight? Yes, fun fact: Cheese is supposed to BREATHE. It tastes better when it does.) But I just wanted to share my discovery for anyone that else that decided to buy this and throw it in the dishwasher or wash the lid right away. DON’T DO IT until you remove the paper filter. I’m not sure what will happen if that thing gets wet and gunky. Maybe it will stink up your food or even grow mold.

I bought this to keep store bought salad mix fresh since those won’t seal proper. It’s a bit on the small side if you’re buying the large salad mixes. Works as advertised!

I have these containers in multiple sizes. I use the long rectangle one for all my cut up veggies and it keeps them fresh for the week. I use the biggest one for lettuce and the small ones for fruits. I put these on the top rack of the dishwasher and haven’t had any problems. I love them!

This item was a little pricy, but I do love it for the longer veggies. The new bottoms are not as good as the old ones with the extra tray in the bottom.
IMHO –
These containers really work! So far I’ve used them for raspberries and blueberries. I had raspberries in one of the containers for almost a week, and they stayed fresh. No more throwing away spoiled berries!
Frequent Buyer –
These containers worked great for keeping blueberries fresh, but not very good for strawberries.
