Amazon Customer –
After 12 years in Japan, I’ve missed the comforting taste of authentic Soba noodles. Finding a package of uncooked Soba noodles on Amazon was a delightful surprise. Though not handmade, these noodles impressively capture the essence of traditional Soba. Cooking them brought back fond memories of Japan, and each bite offered a semblance of the authentic flavors I cherished. For those longing for a taste of Japan or simply seeking to enjoy a genuine Japanese dish at home, these Soba noodles do the job wonderfully, bridging the gap between convenience and authentic culinary experience.

I didnt like the flavor of this. But everthing else like the texture and price for the amount and quality was pretty good. 4 star for that.

I love this noodle and they make a quick delicious dinner with veggies.

I prefer buckwheat noodles because they have a fresh flavor and the texture is similar to what i get at a restaurant. These noodles are great hot and cold with some dashi or your favorite dipping sauce. While they cost more, they’re worth it in my opinion.

I didn’t realize the sodium content was so high per package just for plain buckwheat noodles. I’ve learning to read everything more closely before I buy anything.

Soba noodles come in various blends of buckwheat with regular wheat. This one seems to be in the sweat spot for our needs — 100% buckwheat is sticky and messy, those with relatively little buckwheat are basically just thin spaghetti. These are nicely in between and work well at the bottom of a bowl of whatever you might stir fry up on a weeknight.

This package is much heavier than I expected. The noodles look slightly thicker form of spaghetti and they arrive wrapped in small packages that are just the right size for one person. Boil the water and drop in the noodles. Stir them around once or twice and use them however you want but I particularly enjoy the soba from Okinawa best of all, and much of their soba uses buckwheat noodles. but I make my own topping and I don’t use a ton of salt like the packages contain when you buy little packages of Ramen or other very cheap soba noodles.

Goes well with dipping sauce.

You get a lot of soba for the money spent. It’s not the best quality soba but it gets the job done. Like most soba packages, each serving size is wrapped by portion. I did notice these noodles are slightly smaller in length. The flavor is okay, nothing too spectacular.
This is a good buy if you are looking for quantity over quality. Thats not to say it isn’t good soba, but there are better brands of quality. Would I buy this again? Yes.

I was unable to return this product–it is not eligible for return but I didn’t know it. I also expected that I was buying buckwheat noodles–wheat flour is the first ingredient, it also has tapioca starch. Neither of these works in my diet. But it calls itself buckwheat! Don’t be mislead if you are looking for real buckwheat soba noodles. Wish I had read the label better and not trusted the name. I would not have given it even one star since it is not what I wanted and now I’m stuck with three pounds of it.
