This paste has a wonderful fermented shrimp flavor that enhances my cooking.
Amazon Customer –
It arrived broken and the shrimp paste was all over in the bag. Not eligible to return. Very disappointed.

We could smell the contents before opening the outer packaging! The jar was wrapped really well and I imagine it was leaky before it was wrapped for shipping. I can’t use this since seal was compromised and there are no returns allowed! The expiration date was good. Wouldn’t have expired until 8/23. Too bad. Needed it for kimchee. What a waste.
Effing shopper –
EVERYTHING has shrimp paste on it. I carried to my friend in my car and it was improperly packed. The wrapper was wet. Getting refund I hope!
Paige –
I noticed the smell of the shrimp when I opened the package. Label is obviously soiled with fish paste. Would not recommend.
Kayls –
My product didn’t come damaged. I use it for kimchi. It works and it doesn’t smell the best but some of the tastiest stuff doesn’t smell that great!
Dryfus Petty –
I bought two. Both were leaking and completely saturated the label beneath the hard plastic wrap. Smelled like the corruption of tiny shrimp souls.

Good flavor

Jar arrived with broken seal and spillage , of course no refund was offered

If you like to make authentic kimchi, this stuff is awesome. Yes, it stinks like you would imagine fermented shrimp would smell. I personally like the smell, as I know I will be having delicious kimchi soon. But also like the smell of fish markets… My wife hates the smell and only allows me to make kimchi when she is not home, lol.
