It’s very thin so I make sure not to overload. It says it’s strong, but I still wouldn’t take the chance to fill it all the way. I like that it easily covers the garbage can.

Bags are sturdy.
Unscented. If there is a scent, it is too mild to annoy my chemical/scent allergies.
ONLY DOWN feature — the second box was not perforated. There were little marks, but I was unable to separate by just tearing; I had to find scissors. It’s like the perforator machine was dull!! :oP

Finally! Large sized trash bags that are compostable. They even come in a nifty box that lets you grab one at a time with MANY bags inside. I was surprised with how many bags compact into the small box. They re exactly what I was looking for. I will admit, they seem to tear around the edges and are not the “strongest” bags. But I was looking for compostable, so they serve their purpose for me.
Anon. In northern California –
we should probably all be using compostable garbage bags when we can. All this plastic in the landfill is not good for anyone’s health, in the water table, etc. However these bags don’t fit on even a standard plastic waste paper can. They may be 1.2 gallons to the very edges, but if you have to fold the edges over the rim of a wastepaper can, this bag is not gonna reach the bottom of the can. Much too small. Otherwise, if you have a very small waste paper can, they are a good thickness and seem well-made.

We’ve been using these for a couple of years now, and they have almost always worked great. They are sturdy enough for my kids to take out a full compost bag without a blow out… and I mean kids aren’t exactly careful with trash (or with anything… but that’s another review)…
These last long enough for our 2 week cycle of compost collection in the pacific northwest. Without the bags, we get maggots and gross growing things all over the compost bin. These bags prevent all that, easy to use, and I assume they live up to their claim of composting well after they leave our life. Farewell, food waste and plant material. Farewell, ’til we meet again.

Most of the more natural/compostable bags are extremely brittle and break easily. This one isn’t super elastic, but it has more flex than the ones I’ve been using the last couple of years. It’s also a little taller, so I have extra material for tying securely. I wouldn’t put sharp plastics or metals in it, but it works great for normal kitchen trash.

We have reordered for the 3rd time now. They are perfect for our compost pail. No leakage, no odor escapes when twisted up and covered. They never fail or leak before we get them out and into Organics bin.
Great product

I use these for holding our diapers now. The improvement is life changing. Have never ruptured, and in other use cases, can be re-used multiple bin dumps before i’ve noticed any wear/tear.
I’ve compared these with at least 3 other bio bag brands. These are far and away the most sturdy. All other brands/models tried would break under the load of a week’s compostable diapers, this bag has no issue at all. phew.

Love these trash bags. They are the perfect size for my bathroom waste baskets. Not too small and not too big. They feel thick enough to hold up a week’s worth of trash. Great to use a product that is good for the planet.

Holy cow I love these bags! We recently are required to separate our trash. I struggle with organic, vs recycling, vs trash. Now I have to sort through the trash to separate it. It’s a good thing, but more time-consuming. These bags are strong, yet translucent enough that my waste provider accepts them. These bags have saved me so much time! AND they are very affordable!
