As a home roaster, I’ve been able to sample coffees from all over the World. I’ve not found a coffee that comes close to that of Kona. I can’t deny that it’s expensive, but, to me, it’s worth it. I can order any coffee in the World. I choose Kona, time and again.

Gosh. I thought this was roasted.
Opps. Amazon doesn’t allow returns on items such as this

It has been a while from my last hand roasting. So I roasted it bit too dark.
However the flavor and fragrance, it was wonderful and very smooth to drink.
Hint of sweetness wt the end was so nice. Next roasting, I will keep it lighter. I amy share more after that 🙂

I like to roast my own coffee as a hobby because I drink a lot of it. When I was visiting in Hawaii I remember the coffee out there was fantastic so I purchased this. Not paying attention to the size being bought I was disappointed in how little there was. This was entirely my fault because I didn’t pay attention to that. The flavor was just as I remembered but unfortunately with the amount of coffee I drink this will be gone within a week and I can’t see spending $34 a week on coffee.

It was good, but the taste didn’t justify the price

Good taste, but not worth the extra money. Nice bag it came in.

A Genie Cafe roasted four samples of beans at 4 different temperatures; 455 F, 460F. 465F, and 470F. Their roasted wt loss ranged from 16% to 21%! HOWEVER – little to no cracking was detected. The roasted beans had a similar lite tan appearance. WHAT YEAR WERE THESE BEANS HARVESTED? HOW WERE THEY PROCESSED? This is my 2nd pound of unacceptable KONA from GREEN COFFEE TRADERS! The first pound was roasted Kona BUT THE FLAVOR WAS BELLOW SUBSTANDARD! I spent $75 on their products and wasted 3 hours roasting these substandard beans. A refund will be appreciated! Thank you

It’s hard to find fresh green kona beans. These arrived in a beautiful vacuum sealed bag. I roasted them immediately to city roast, 4 days after roast the island was transported right to my cup.
I love it

These are not extra fancy as it says in the descriptions. Some of the beans are so small you can’t even believe it is even regular beans.. And due to the different sizes as per this pic it affects the consistency of the roast. Flavor is decent but nothing to write home about. Tried all 3 different roasts. Dissapointment.

Not sure if others have had this problem but when I roast this coffee, it smells grassy once brewed. Cream and sugar can mask partially but not completely. I’ve never had a kona coffee turn out like this. Despite always roasting Kona to about 10 seconds into second crack no matter where I get it, when I noticed that smell/tasteI initially thought roasted it too light. The next time I roasted it for quite a bit longer, well into second crack. Unfortunately this did not help much either. I am not sure why this is happening but it was a bit disappointing, especially since this coffee costs close to $40 after shipping costs are added., but maybe its just this lot of coffee Their JBM coffee I ordered prior to this was excellent so not every coffee they make has this issue.
