Just had my final steak from a box I ordered. I went with 16 ounce new yorks. Its definitely choice, but probably the highest end that flirts with prime vs the lower end choice that flirts with select you find in grocery stores. I cooked them all Pittsburgh rare. Well, somewhat, a fatter steak can sit on one side longer to get a good sear without cooking the middle. Coat the bottom of the pan with olive oil, bring to temp, then sear for 6 minutes a side with your burner set to 8 or just beyond 3/4 high and you will get a barky sear. All of the steaks were consistent. The seasoning is nothing to write home about though. Tastes like crushed barbecue potato chips. I tried it on the first steak, but went with the tried and true Lawry’s, black pepper and garlic for the last 3 and it was a home run. I will probably order again in the future.

First off – the MOST TENDER steak 🥩 of my life. Seriously tender. Amazingly tender. Unbelievable tender.
That’s the great news. Also great taste. I used only the seasoning that was included and everyone was totally satisfied with the taste as is(was). I cooked on the grill(Dec 15th in Connecticut – outside using the grill 😳) and the THICKNESS of the steaks 🥩 had me going back out to the grill( I like less blood 🩸, thank you). But these were GREAT!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I suggest :
When they arrive, however, you will need to immediately put them in a freezer bag because I had problems with the steaks being not sealed ( they are sealed but they might get dry ice “ cuts” ? while in the bag? No sure WHY but I rebagged them and feel forewarned is enough said). I did thaw in fridge as suggested. I had TERRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE, ( thank you) but NOT thru Amazon( got NOWHERE there) thru the company number- keep the paperwork that comes in the cooler packed with dry ice. I’ve never had such responsive customer service- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) Then show your kids or the neighbors kids how dry ice bubbles and steams( that was a blast😄). I HAD A TERRIFIC MEAL WITH THESE Recommended, with the heads up

These are sold as choice grade. I found them better trimmed, a bit more marbled than filet mignon I’ve paid premium prices for prime grade. Tender, juicy and flavorful. Will try their other cuts as well.

I’ve bought these Fillet Mignon cuts from No Name, Omaha, and Kansas City Steaks (plus a few other smaller vendors) looking for the BEST. While most were really good, the Texas Roadhouse fillet mignon are, by far, the best price, most tender melt-in-your-mouth, best-tasting, generously sized steaks I’ve had the pleasure of eating. I rarely leave reviews, but after trying these for a third time (consistency in standards), I felt almost compelled to share (my unsolicited opinion). Try them, you will not regret your decision!

These filets were excellent and we followed the preparation instructions to a tee – very flavorful, tender and perfectly trimmed. On the downside, we use a local shop for our beef and there the filets are about half the price with the equivalent quality of Texas Roadhouse.. Also, two of the filets from Texas Roadhouse’s individually sealed steaks had open slits in their sealing material. Although somewhat concerning, the filets were not at all influenced by the damaged seals and when prepared were of the highest quality expected.

The steaks were perfect. No complaints even the 6 oz is the right portion.

Have ordered these about 4or 5 times now for a very fussy eater. Petter than fillets we have gotten in most restaurants. Highly recommend.

These were quite pricey but absolutely delicious.

These steaks are wonderful, tender, juicy, and flavorful, almost restaurant quality. The steak seasoning is an appreciated bonus. The steaks are ten times better than the ones from the Kansas City Steak Company, and infinitely better than the ones from Omaha Steaks (which has really gone downhlll over the last 15 years or so). The only complaint I have is with the packaging. There’s no pull-apart corner, so you have to use scissors to get them out of the plastic. This can get very messy if you do it after they’re defrosted. I’ve gotten around that by cutting them out of the plastic while they’re still frozen and putting them into a plastic sandwich bag to defrost. All in all, the best money I’ve ever spent on non-restaurant steaks.
