After being delivered to our smokehouse in Alaska within days of being caught, only the best King Salmon are selected for smoking. Once selected, the King Salmon are hand filleted. The King Salmon are then smoked to succulent perfection. Finally, each fillet is inspected before it is sealed in a gold foil pouch known as a retort locking in the salmon’s freshness and rich flavor. The gold foil pouch is then packed in our award-winning gift box for further protection. No preservatives, coloring, oils or artificial ingredients are ever added to these King Salmon fillets. The salmon tasted incredibly bland, as though it wasn’t smoked. There was absolutely no Smokey flavor, no deep color, it was almost pale. Not happy. Ended up throwing away 3/4 of it.

I ordered this salmon filet to try out to see if I would like taking it in my lunch for a combination of healthy snack and or an easy meal. I am a locomotive engineer for a class a railroad. It’s important to snack and eat healthy as I spend a lot of time sitting in the locomotives. I really wanted to give this salmon 5 stars but in the end I had to deduct a star purely on the basis of packaging. It arrived undamaged unlike other reviews I read. And the filet was in tact and in one piece. I’m not deducting a star for taste or for them leaving the skin on because those are both subjective. What I will say is that it did come with the skin on but it was very thin and I have had smoked salmon filets that tasted better. Having said that, the taste wasn’t bad. It was good to me and I really didn’t mind the skin being left on. And Leaving the skin on helps to keep the filet in one piece. So going back to the deduction of one star because of packaging. I just felt like they used to big of an aluminum foil package that has the potential of allowing the filet to move around to much which could cause it to break into small pieces. And I felt there was two much liquid in the package. My suggestion to the company would be to drain more of the liquid, use a smaller package and vacuum seal it a little tighter. But over all I was pleased with it and happy with the product. As for purchasing from them again. I’m going to shop around a little more and see if I can find one that has a flavor that is more to my liking. If I am unable to find one that I like the taste of better I will definitely come back to this one.

This was the worst smoker salmon I have ever purchased and I have purchased many. I would have returned it if it was not so messy. It was more like tuna in oil than smoked salmon. I would never recommend this product to anyone who knows anything about smoker salmon.

Terrible. Smoked salmon packed in brown liquid. It was truly bad enough the receiver was nice enough to let me know to not send it again!!

While visiting Alaska, we decided to buy and send these packages of King Salmon as they were cheaper than the tourist trap shops. This is just like the amazing taste we found in Alaska! King Salmon is one of our favorite flavors of Salmon and this one is a rare treat.
Our gift recipients thought it was the best they ever tasted! And this is a better price yet definitely PREMIUM taste and texture!

We loved this salmon. It is packaged in such a way that it can be easily stored in the pantry. I’m thinking a few packages in the pantry for a quick party go to would work wonderfully.
