12/19/23 Initial experience…
I bought a new iPhone 15, so the old lightning cable in my car cigarette lighter is not compatible.
Initially I searched for a replacement cigarette lighter charger with the USB-C plug. I wasn’t happy with my search. So, thinking out of the box, I decided instead to just buy a USB-A USB-C cable. There were a lot of sellers with various prices. I couldn’t decide. So I waited for a few hours before going back to Amazon and looked for my trusted brand, Anker, to see if they sell any. There were a few options from Anker. Then I found this set of 2 cables with over 100,000 reviews…
I reviewed the top 5****** as well as 1* comments. Naturally there were some -ve comments, as expected. One cannot expect perfection… even Rolls Royce will have bad reviews, the Bell curve is not evenly distributed, more emphasized on the positive side. No problem. Knowing that if it does not work out for me, I can always return them.
The new cables arrived promptly. I put the new cable to test, not in my car’s USB port, but in a regular multi port charging station. My new phone had less than 30% charge left. Connected the phone to the charging system. Within 3.5hrs my phone was fully charged. The litmus test is to subject my phone to be charged using the new cable in my car. I haven’t done it yet. I do not expect this to be an issue. But I would like to use this new cable in my car for a real test, for completeness. Once I do, if the results were not satisfactory, i shall provide another update.
For now, I give a conditional 4*****.

I was able to charge my iPhone 15 using this cable in my car. Not only did the cable charge my iPhone, music was streamed through without any issues, contrary to what some other reviewers’ negative comments.
I am giving this Anker cable 5*****.
As usual, Anker pulls through with flying colors .

I use these on my Samsung Galaxy S21+ and my portable power banks. They fast charge my phone with the right charger box (Samsung for me) and are regular when on non-Samsung boxes/USB outlets. They also seem to charge my portable battery faster when plugged into the Samsung box vs regular USB on an outlet strip. Could be my imagination, but I swear it charged my portable faster with this cable. Definitely a good quality cable that fast charges when you need it to and won’t if you don’t have the right charger box; pretty standard tech design for good charging cables.
The length is easily my favorite part of these chargers! 6 ft cords are perfect to use whether I am close to an outlet/portable charger or need to be a little further from one. Better to have the flexibility in the 6ft than the restriction of the 3 ft ones.
Wiring on the cables is durable and I have not seen any fraying or breakage after using them for months at a time. They also do not tangle easily, and when they do they unravel quite simply. These cables should last you a long time, like they have for me. They won’t short your phone’s battery and shouldn’t short any other electronic device that uses USB-C plugs, either.

It’s the brand I trust to not brick my devices, so far so good.
I wouldn’t trust my $1000+ device with some no name brand. I have seen my fair share of charging ports going poof from random chargers and cables.

Just bought a new iPhone so have to switch to USB-C chargers and cables. Except my Subaru only has USB-A outlets and I actually have to connect to the car through a cable to have handsfree control of phone and podcasts. Anker was one of the few manufacturers I trust that had cables with the power to support the iPhone 15. Very well made, sturdy cables. I’ve used Anker for years- great products that last long and great pricing!

Good quality product for the cheap price. Has a nice fabric (woven) cable that makes it feel premium like the new apple cables. Worked well in my car usb-A port connected to my iPhone 15 for charging, music, and maps.
