Fruit Fresh keeps my peaches from turning brown when I freeze them. I use it both when I freeze them with sugar and when I don’t use sugar.

This product works for sweet and savory dishes. For apple pies, liberally sprinkle your peeled apples with Fruit Fresh instead of lemon juice to prevent browning before adding your other seasonings and ingredients to the filling. Works great for berries, too. For savory dishes, I sprinkle it on left-overs to prevent them from getting that “left-over” taste. Works really well on chicken, shrimp, and meat. It is a mixture of Vitamin C and a little Dextrose used to temper the sharp taste of Vitamin C. Give it a try. It works.

Jars arrived earlier than expected, so that was great! Love this fruit powder — really keeps fruit from browning for a long time. Have used before but can’t find it in our stores anymore so had to order it online.

I tried using lemon juice to preserve my apples before freezing last year. But they quickly turned an unappetizing brown color, even before they were frozen. Apples are notorious for turning brown, but this year I used a generous amount of the fruit fresh on the apples before freezing, and they mostly kept their original color. I even used it on the apples to keep them looking fresh before canning. The fruit fresh doesn’t seem to affect the taste, so it will be my choice for preserving fruit going forward.

Does everything it says. My mom used a similar product for canning and I started using on cut up fruit bowls and mostly on guacamole to keep from turning brown. Works better than lime or lemon without changing taste of food. I use this all the time on my guacamole now. It will keep it from turning brown for a week. Love it and highly recommend, does not change flavor of food it’s on.
