I use this Gochujang sauce in many dishes. I like the squeeze bottle, taste and size.

Get the classic kind in the red tub, this is watered down and overly sweet. Yes it’s cheaper per oz but a lot of that oz is just water. Not authentic, not respectable

Lots of flavor. I add it to Korean bibimbap, cold noodles, rice cakes, etc. Love the squeeze bottle.

It was packaged well, has a long expiration date, and has a wonderful flavor you can use on so many things. It isn’t overly hot and has some sweetness. And the flavors blend well. It’s vegetarian, which I am, and I will put this on my Daring Chicken, eggs and so many other sandwiches and other dishes. Very versatile.

I could never find this in any stores near me so I was thrilled that I could order this on Amazon. I love the flavor this adds to my dishes. A little goes a long way so this bottle will last me awhile. I’ll be ordering this again when my bottle gets low.

I really like this sauce. I’ve ordered this multiple times.
It differs from authentic gochujang sauce in a few ways. It’s less spicy. It’s sweeter. The consistency is different. (Authentic gochujang is more like a paste; it holds a peak. This sauce isn’t watery or runny, but it has a flow to it.)
You can use this as a dipping sauce, a marinade for meats and vegetables. Dilute it and make a salad dressing. Drizzle over rice, add meat/vegetables/???, and wrap with dried seaweed to make your custom ‘NORIMAKI.’ Use your imagination.
Is it too spicy? No, it’s not stupid spicy. This won’t be a test of your “manliness.” Most people who like spicy foods should be fine with this. Even people who are somewhat heat intolerant shouldn’t find this overwhelming.
Don’t get me wrong, it is spicy. It’s a level that’s reasonable and palatable to most people. It won’t burn your mouth, but don’t let that lull you into thinking that there are no consequences.
If you consume too much in a sitting, it churns in your stomach and can cause some discomfort and upset as it marches down your digestive tract. Just depends on your level of tolerance to spicy foods. Eat and learn.
(As a comparison, if you’re okay with the spiciness of Sriracha (Huy Fong Foods), you’ll be fine with this. This isn’t as hot. I’m using Sriracha to compare just the spiciness. The flavor of gochujang is very different.)
This is sweeter than authentic gochujang. It’s more adapted and tailored for the U.S. consumers’ palates.
The flavor isn’t as “distinctive” as authentic gochujang, so it should be an easy lift for most, even to those who are uninitiated to Korean cuisine.
This is not some exotic sauce that requires you to “acquire the taste.”
Live a little. You should like it. If you don’t, it was only a few $. It’s worth a try.
Sometimes, the price for this fluctuates a lot. Just wait… What do they say about San Francisco weather? “If you don’t like the weather, wait 10 minutes…” Likewise with Amazon prices.

Basic Go Chu Jung is a favorite item in our kitchen. Tried many different brands. This one is pretty good although a little on the sweeter side. Good for a basic sauce for almost every variety of food. It’s a versatile sauce that’s not spicy at all. I even made a mixture of rice vinegar and soy sauce with this Go Chu Jung and soaked some thinly sliced cucumbers in it. The bottle is plastic and the sauce squeezes out slowly through the small opening. If you’re a sauce type of person then this item will be a great addition.

Tasty and easy to use packaging, I use it to make a salmon sauce.

This is my favorite condiment for Asian food, especially Korean dishes.. It tastes exactly as it does in Korea, and there is always at least one in my refrigerator.

This is a great sauce for lots of different foods, not too spicy, not too sweet, just about right!
