Not my favorite oat milk, but it was fine to add to coffee.

I’ve never been one to drink milk maybe because as kids we had only 1% or 2% due to cholesterol. I happened to buy this once and I’m hooked! This I could actually chug! Unfortunately I cannot afford to do so. It is sooooo YUMMY!

Pros
1-This milk is creamy.
2-Twist top is nice and secure.
Cons
1-Unfortunately, that twist top comes on a plastic bottle. Plastics should be recycled but many people throw them away. For the planet, I prefer the classic coated paper milk cartons.
2-As others have mentioned, this milk has quite a strong taste. Although drinking it straight is not bad, I purchase oat milk for making smoothies — I don’t enjoy the result. This oat milk’s taste overpowers the other ingredients, such as fruit, yogurt, and protein powder in a negative way.
3-The label does not specify that the added “sunflower oil” is expeller-pressed without use of chemicals and if it was, the bottle would say so.
4-Per the label, calcium (type not specified so I assume is it the cheap carbonate) is added by the manufacturer.
Calcium supplements are readily available for people who want to consume them, but findings publicized in the past couple of years and widely available on the Internet (eg see the NIH article) explain the potential cardiovascular, kidney, and gastrointestinal side-effect risks of calcium supplementation, as opposed to foods naturally containing calcium.
Consumers should be able to choose oatmilk free of added calcium.
I’d rate this oatmilk ~3.5/5 so went with 4 but it doesn’t quite reach 4.

Couldn’t move past the strong flavor and aftertaste.

I have tried MANY brands. But, this one is, great quality, smooth & rich taste. Does great as a stand alone drink or as an extra ingredient to many things I’ve made. Love the fact it is actually unsweetened, which is a must for me. Not a horrible price compared to some others, which dont always have the unsweetened option. Do plan & have bought multiple times. *also, great as a nursing mom, & looking to get a boost in my supply, not only is it from rolled oats, it’s also hydrating & full of vitamins which I like a 2 for 1 perk!* I even use some, w/ making my overnight oats! Never would I have imagined being an “Oatmilk Drinker”! But, I happily am, & have tried MANY brands, & this is truly my favorite kind & actual unsweetened, not just “no added sugar”!
In my honest opinion, it’s worth a try, if you’re thinking about the purchase. Great, flavor, texture, quantity, quality (recyclable or reusable jug) & not a horrible price!
Thanks!

This is by far the best plant milk I’ve tried. It doesn’t taste like dairy milk, but it has its own delicious flavor with a kind of mildly oat-y aftertaste. I generally buy similar shelf-stable versions, which are also good, but this is extra tasty.

This product taught me to avoid “extra creamy ” milk. I didn’t enjoy the texture, but I used it during a cleanse and it did the job, hence the relatively high rating. So as I mentioned, it could just be that double creamy milk just isn’t up my alley. But it served my body well, despite my palate.

Great substitute for dairy. I use this for creamer in my coffee. I like that it doesn’t break up in the coffee like almond milk, so I don’t have to stir it so much. The flavor is good if you like less sweetness otherwise I’d recommend getting the flavored creamers. I love it because I can enjoy my coffee dairy free.

I love Califia Farms oat milk, I think alone it tastes amazing. I tried the costco organic oat milk recently but it did not tastes like oat milk at all to me, it was almost coconut in flavor which really surprised me and the consistency was not close to Califia – you can shake up the bottle prior to serving but its really just ok without it which is nice. I also think the bottle and its easy to pour unlike the cartons some of the other brands are using to package.
