I started using this in place of Lancome cream cleanser. The price of this bar is very affordable and I feel it works just as well to remove makeup. It may not be as hydrating but it’s okay. It’s also scent free.

I am a bar soap gal and I have been looking for something that might help my horribly dry legs. I don’t have time to always glop a ton of lotion on myself before I get dressed, but seeing how flakey my legs are when I’m pulling up a sock, sitting in that awful hospital gown at the doctors, etc, I wanted something that might actually moisturize like I’d like. Well, this soap actually does what it says! My legs (and the rest of my body) actually looks like normal, healthy skin – even in the dead of winter and without additional lotion! Does is smell great? No. Is it a nice size that fits in your hand? Yes! And best of all, this soap actually moisturizes like it claims.

I initially bought this so that I wouldn’t have to take a liquid cleanser in my carry-on. When it arrived, I wanted to test it right away just to make sure I wasn’t bringing something that didn’t work for my skin on my trip. I’ve used CeraVe products before, such as the foaming facial cleanser and the moisturizing cream, and I’ve had no trouble with the cleanser but the cream did burn or sting my face sometimes. I’ve been using this cleansing bar for about a week now and I absolutely love it! For reference, I have extremely sensitive and reactive skin, so I can pretty much tell right away if a product doesn’t work for me. I’m also very acne prone and recently had a really bad hormonal breakout, So I am very cautious about the products that I use on my face. Because of the acne breakout I had, I went on both topical and oral acne treatments that made my skin pretty dehydrated, but I can still get oily from time to time. So needless to say my skin is very finicky.
This bar didn’t burn at all, cleanse my skin really well without it feeling stripped, and felt really nice on the skin and rinsing off. Almost immediately I felt how soft my face was but I wasn’t sure if it was just the excitement of the product. Then my boyfriend, who didn’t know I was trying out a new face product, made a comment about how soft my face was.
If you have really sensitive skin and you try to stay away from ingredients that you know are irritating, I would highly suggest trying this. It’s completely fragrance-free, even of masking fragrances, so it doesn’t smell the best. it honestly smells like unscented baby powder mixed with a little bit of caulking paste but I got used to it. This also lathers really well which I like because it’s just a nicer experience, but it doesn’t have the harsh surfactants that strip your skin. I also use this to double cleanse on the days where I’m not wearing any makeup, just sunscreen, and I don’t feel like I’m over drying my face and I feel really clean afterwards.
Overall, I think this is a great product! If you’re looking for a travel friendly cleanser or if you’re trying to stay away from single use plastic or if you’re just in the market of a new skin care product but are very sensitive to a lot of ingredients, I think this is definitely worth trying!

I am a 73-year-old woman with very dry skin all my life. I’m always putting on skin lotion and buying Dove soap. It dries up so fast. I used CeraVe first time this morning in the shower and it was wonderful so soapy so creamy, I’m hooked I always use their products referred by my Dermatolagist.

I’ve been using body wash in plastic bottles for use because of my sensitive skin. However, I decided to give these a try to reduce my plastic use. This has been really great for my skin. It helps with the dryness and sensitivity and just give me a good, clean without leaving residue. Also, this is a good price compared to local retailers.

It leaves your skin very soft and you don’t need to moisturize after. Only complaint is I don’t enjoy the smell.

My skin is sensitive to scents and I honestly want to avoid as many artificial scents as possible. This bar is unscented and very moisturizing. I keep my favorite essential oils in my shower, lather up a washcloth with this soap, and add a few drops of essential oils to provide a toxic-free scent with aromatherapy benefits!

Bought for myself and my daughters to use. My daughters both have sensitive skin, one has EXTREMELY sensitive, very dry skin and they use with no problem. I usually buy the liquid cerave soaps but decided to give this a try. the first time i used it my eyes swelled up A LOT. It took about 3 days for swelling to go down completely. I have since used about 3 more times trying to be careful not to get into eyes with varying degrees of success, I have had slight swelling one other time. Would definitely repurchase for my daughters, nice light scent and moisturizing but will switch back to the liquids for myself
