First off, let me say that this product worked like a charm. It did exactly what it claimed and quickly put a stop to those embarrassing sweat patches under my arms. If that’s your main concern, then rest assured, this product will work wonders for you. Initially, I had applied it every 72 hours, but over time, I discovered that I could get away with using it even less frequently—about once a week. It was that effective!
In fact, it worked so well that I eventually found myself not needing it at all. And here’s where things get interesting. When I bought it I assumed that if I stopped using the product my underarm sweating would return but boy was I wrong. It seems like this product has permanently blocked my underarm sweat glands. Hardly any sweat comes out from there, regardless of the activity or situation. Here’s the kicker, though. While I no longer have to worry about underarm sweat, I’ve noticed an unexpected side-effect: I now sweat a lot more from other areas of my body. Specifically, my face and torso have become the new sweat hotspots. It’s quite frustrating, to be honest. Even the slightest physical activity triggers excessive sweating in those areas. I’ve done through every test imaginable, seen several doctors, and nothing has been found to explain this change other than maybe genetics but it’s not normal AND it didn’t use to be that way! It’s like my sweat just found new pathways to escape from.
Now, I’m not saying this will happen to everyone who uses the product, but it’s something you should definitely consider. Ask yourself if sweating more from your face and torso is something you can handle or prefer over underarm sweat. Another thing worth mentioning is that before using this product regular deodorants with antiperspirants were never enough to stop my underarm sweat. However, after using this product for a while I noticed that regular deodorants started doing the trick. So, if you’re concerned about potentially clogging your sweat glands, keep that in mind.
I’ve been on a quest to find a solution for the excessive sweat for a couple of years now. I’ve started using deodorants without antiperspirants again, hoping that the sweat will return to my underarms and reduce the excessive sweating on my face. I’ve tried this in the past for about a month, and while I did see more sweat coming from my underarms (not as much as before), the sweating from my face and torso didn’t decrease significantly. The challenge is finding deodorants without aluminum that I actually like, as most of them come in solid form, which I despise. I just found a spray aluminum-free deodorant so I’m optimistic about giving the experiment another shot with a longer timeframe.
To sum it up, this product is effective at blocking underarm sweat, but be aware of the potential side effects. It may permanently block your underarm sweat glands while redirecting sweat to other areas. Consider whether sweating more from your face and torso is preferable for you. Additionally, regular deodorants might start working for you after using this product, so keep that in mind. Maybe using this product for a month or so instead of years like I did might be enough to solve the problem without causing this side-effect.
Play with it but more likely than not you need to use it less often than what they recommend. Now, why do I think you should be

Since I was 12 I struggled with excessive sweat under my armpits. I didn’t wear certain fabrics and never lifted my arms up. It ruin my confidence. I constantly feared going out because even if it was cold, my arms would sweat so bad. And I also sweat when I was nervous and the idea of sweating made me nervous. Anyway bought this and I could cry. It worked so well. Put it on before bed once I used it for a few days. Then wouldn’t need to apply in the morning. With the lack of sweat my armpits haven’t been stinky and even if they did smell a bit, for the first time ever deodorant actually gets rid of the sent. It will burn if you put it on after a shave/wax but if I don’t put it on right after a shave it’s fine. I don’t need it as much anymore so it’s last me a long time. Still have it after months. Get it if you struggle with bad sweating under your arms!!

I have used all the drugstore antiperspirants on the market. Degree, secret, even some men’s line old spice and extra strength. I always end up still sweating and still smelling. I carry around a small deodorant for just in case situations. I did some research and came across this. For the price I thought it was worth a shot and didn’t have high expectations. But wow I was so pleasantly surprised. I know most people say to use it at night, but I was so eager to try it I put it on immediately after the shower. I did let it dry before putting any clothes on that could potentially soak up the product. I went the entire day without sweating when I normally would have been applying another coat. NOT A DROP NOR A SMELL. totally odorless. I’m very pleased with this product and I will continue to buy this from now on

I’ve always had problems with sweating too much for no reason. My obesity likely contributes to it, but I’ve been back in the gym 5-6 times a week for 2 months so I’ll be in great shape in a few more months. But even when I was playing football (gridiron) at 15% body fat I would sweat just walking around school. I would soak my underarms and smell really bad.
I use this product mainly to stop sweating at work. Currently I’m working a desk job with A/C at around 74-75°F but poor circulation. Without using this antiperspirant I’ll sweat like crazy.
I wear a long sleeve shirt, and even when I’m sweating everywhere else my armpits stay completely dry. There is not a single drop of sweat on my underarms at the end of the day and my shirt still smells completely fresh. That’s something I’ve never experienced, and I’m incredibly satisfied with this product.
Another thing I like—probably unintentional—is that the product is not strong enough to block sweat at the gym, at least not for me, so I can still sweat when I workout. Really that’s how your body should function in the first place.
I apply this product every night after 30 mins out of the shower, right before bed. In the morning I shower again to get rid of the extra residue. You can scrub your underarms and the product will still work, however it has to be a cold shower or it will not work. Around 15 mins later I apply Old Spice deodorant.
An important thing to note is that Certain Dri is not a deodorant. It does not prevent bacteria and it does not have a scent. You need to apply a deodorant that prevents the bacteria from growing, otherwise if you sweat even a little bit the odor causing bacteria can gather on your armpits.
Update: After using this for a couple months, the itch started to become unbearable to the point where I had to wash it off in the shower because I couldn’t sleep. This was mostly my fault, I still use this stuff consistently. But I highly recommend only applying it every 1-3 days, once I started using it this way the itch disappeared completely. As far as effectiveness, my armpits are no longer bone dry, but this product 100% makes a difference so I still give it 5 stars.

As someone who has struggled with excessive underarm sweating for years, I decided to give Certain Dri a try after seeing rave reviews about its extra-strength formula. While it took some time to fully kick in, this product has been life-changing for managing my heavy perspiration.
Pros:
– Extremely effective at stopping underarm sweat, even with my severe hyperhidrosis. I saw a noticeable difference in just the first week.
– Lasts all day long. I stay dry at work, running errands, etc.
– No bothersome fragrance like some clinical antiperspirants.
– Affordable compared to prescription products.
Cons:
– Caused moderate itching for the first couple weeks of use. My skin had to adjust.
– Can sting if applied right after shaving or on already irritated skin.
– Needs to be applied at night, before bed. Washing off in morning is ideal.
– Doesn’t completely eliminate sweat during intense exercise.
Overall, I am thrilled to have finally found an antiperspirant that works to control my excessive underarm sweating. Certain Dri took some getting used to but now keeps me dry all day, without irritation. It has given me confidence I haven’t had in years. For anyone with hyperhidrosis looking for an extra-strength solution, I highly recommend giving this a try. It really can change your life. Hope this review helped!

Update: It’s not as great as I thought. Now that it’s getting warmer out I thought I’d try different color tops (I normally just wear black). Went on a walk yesterday, not too hot out but big sweat stains. It could be user error, I’ve forgotten to put it on a few times, or who knows. I bumped it down to 3 stars. I’ll keep using it and testing it but it’s not a holy grail for me.
I sweat a lot, I hate it. I wear a lot of black because of it. I just want to wear cute tops. I saw this recommended somewhere and decided to try it out. It definitely helps the sweatiness. I will get sweat stains if I get hot but they’re not as bad. If I work out or get super hot, then I still sweat stains but I think that’s any deodorant/antiperspirant. If I’m not too active or just moderate I can get away with no sweat stains which is a miracle for me lol. It seems like it took a few days to a week of consistent use to notice a difference. Summer will be the real test.
I have 2 issues with it. It’s only an antiperspirant so there’s no odor help. I put this on at night before bed and then regular deodorant in the morning. Using both might be helping with the sweating too.
The second issue is that it can be irritating. I see a lot of comments about this so I know I’m not the only one. If I put too much on (I think that’s the issue) I get an itchy rash between my armpit and chest. A little hydrocortisone cream helps clear it up but still an issue. Plus you don’t want to be using hydrocortisone a lot. But if you put on too little it doesn’t do the best job. I think if I put it on too close to bed time that might be an issue too, give it time to dry. I’ve found shaving my armpits makes it worse and will sting sometimes if I don’t wait long enough after shaving to apply. Using an electric razor helps this issue. The directions say to use only a few swipes.
Overall this is the only antiperspirant I’ve used that’s really made a noticeable difference. The price tag is really nice too. I’ve tried much more expensive stuff and it didn’t work. But there are a couple of cons with it. I’ll keep using and see how it goes but I do plan to buy again.

After being fed up with extensive pit sweating and always worrying about having visible pit sweat stains on all of my clothing, I decided to give this a try.
I was a little skeptical, and also somewhat nervous about the many reviews that claimed it caused burning and irritation. And it absolutely can, BUT if you’re careful and patient you can avoid this discomfort. I did see some reviews mentioning not to apply it right after a shower or after shaving, and I would also suggest following this advice. Also, start slow. The first day I was overzealous and did maybe four or five swipes over each armpit. This was a bad move. It resulted in an agitating burning sensation and redness, and after an hour or so of trying to push through I decided it was more annoying than I bargained for and tried to rinse it off in the shower. This did help and made it much less irritating, but it did continue to feel sort of itchy. I waited a few days for the irritation/redness to subside and tried again with two swipes and it wasn’t as bad, but still somewhat irritating.
So after that, I decided to change my approach. I just did one swipe right in the center of each armpit and then sort of closed my arm/laid it flat against my body and wiggled it around to almost distribute that small amount around my armpit. Sounds ridiculous, but I dunno, that’s what I did. I guess you could also just rub it around with your hand and then wash your hands really well afterwards. When I originally swiped it all over my armpit, it seemed the outside edges became most irritated, which is what led me to just doing the one swipe directly in the middle. And then I would lift my arms back up and let it dry completely (recommended in previous reviews). This seemed to make a difference and there wasn’t a burning sensation. I also only did this every other day and then after around two weeks switched to doing it everyday.
So now I’ve been using it for a month and a half and daily for nearly a month. I still just do the one swipe. It has definitely improved my sweating significantly, which I’m super happy about. I apply it every morning because I shower and shave at night. Then, once it dries, I do still use a regular deodorant on top of it so that I smell nice. But prior to this, I would just sweat through any and every deodorant I tried and would be sweaty and smelly regardless. But now, I hardly sweat and I actually just smell like my nice smelling deodorant at the end of the day. It’s a big relief.
I will say, it is somewhat concerning that you do need to be so cautious using this product because it can very easily cause some pretty rough irritation. Not sure why that is or what that ultimately means for for its overall impact on health and body. So I suppose that is something to take into consideration. BUT it does help with excessive sweating.

I’ve been using Certain Dri now for about 6 months, so I feel that I can give an honest fair review from all the data i’ve gathered over this amount of time. Honestly, this product has changed my life.
Background: Ever since about 15 years old I’ve been sweating under my arms uncontrollably. At first I thought it was just a teenager thing but as I got older (I’m 33 now) I realized that it wasnt going away. Hyperhydrosis had basically shaped my life for me. I couldn’t wear light colored clothes. I bought almost exclusively black shirts because it hid the pit stains more. I tried every combination I could think of. I thought maybe it was because I am nervous in public and don’t realize it, maybe if i cut the sleeves off my tshirts to get better air flow. Whatever I tried I just sweat. It seems the only time I don’t sweat is when I’m sleeping or very very comfortable at home watching tv. I had gone to a dermatologist when i was 20 and she prescribed a very very strong product similar to Certain Dri. I used it a few times and it basically burned my underarms. I never touched the stuff again.
The Product:
When a friend bought me this awesome light colored dress shirt and that was it. I was so bummed that I would never be able to were it due to how obvious the pit stains would be. This was the last straw. I hopped online and decided to start researching how to stop sweating again. First I came accross these pads you use like once a week and tried them. I could tell they were blocking sweat but only worked for a short time and since you were only given enough to use once per week. they didnt help. Then I came across Certain Dri. I had high hopes. It has Aluminum Chloride in it which i felt was gonna be the answer, it has a lower dosage than the prescription stuff (which i felt was gonna stop me from getting burned) and I can apply it every day, (so im not walking around feeling like i didnt put deodorant on).
The Result:
At first it worked but I still sweat a little. I could tell it was working though. Maybe it went on like this for a month. I put it on after I take a shower and then go about my day. I noticed right away that I was sweating less. I was kinda bummed that I still sweat though, but it was better than using the old solid stick i was using so i just was thanking for what it did and kept using it. After about 3 months in, a beautiful occurrence came to me. I totally realized that I don’t over sweat anymore! I mean yeah if im working out or playing soccer I sweat a little under my arms. But on an average day, at work, at the store, I stopped sweating under my arms! Bring on the colored shirts, bring on the confidence!
Does it burn:
I don’t think so. I’ve done alot of experimenting with this and other Aluminum Chloride products. The whips did burn/tingle a little. It’s uncomfortable but not as bad as the prescription. Certain Dri doesn’t burn/tingle at all under normal applications. I have noticed you DO NOT want to apply this if you are sweating or your sweat pores are open. Apply it in the morning after a shower or at night when you’ve wound down. don’t apply it if you are sweaty. that’s when it will tingle/burn the most. but otherwise now 6 months in. it just feels like a normal roll on deodorant to me.
Side Note:
I’m on my second bottle of this stuff. One of the kind of qualms I had with the first bottle I bought of certain dri was it was like applying water to your arm pits. Its very drippy and feels uncomfortable. WELL GOOD NEWS! My second bottle had a sticker on it that said "new thicker formula easier to apply" and It TOTALLY is! Now its just thick enough for that it doesnt drip and feels waaay better applying it. Which in turns makes me feel more comfortable. I dont even wait for it to dry under my arms now (which is annoying with other products) I just throw a shirt on and go.
Verdict:
Sweating under my arms has been one of the most frustrating things to deal with in my life and Certain Dri has tamed the beast! 5 stars all day! It may take a little bit for it to really kick in full blown but it’s worth it. This is by far the strongest 5 stars I would give a product.

TL;DR: try it if you don’t wear colorful shirts or shirts with sleeves because you’re too embarrassed to show the sweaty. try it if you keep your arms at your side at all times so you don’t show the sweat lurking underneath. try it if you have spent more than $50 on all kinds of deodorants/anti-perspirants without results. try it if you avoid going out and doing things you love because you might sweat (dancing, sports, hiking, etc). try it if you’ve avoided a relationship or physical affection because of fearing someone noticing your sweat. try it and see a huge change in your life, more than you realize.
The longer review:
I’m a sweaty gal. Always have been. It’s the *anxiety*. Also the fact that my job is in healthcare which can be intense and very fast paced also doesn’t help with the sweating probs. I previously was assigned black scrubs but recently switched jobs and now I’m in teal scrubs and there is no more secrecy about my sweaty gorl problem.
I’ve tried SO many deodorants/anti-perspirants. I’ve tried the sweat pads and the armpit detox masks. I’ve had reactions to plenty of some of these things too. Some helped a little but none have got me through multiple face paced days in the operating room without any pit stains…until this one!
I don’t mean to sound like an infomercial but I’m just that happy and excited to no longer have this embarrassing problem as someone that’s reaching around patients to attach EKG leads, remove IVs, administer medications, etc. My job often requires my pits to be in peoples face. And while I’ve smelled fine, my pit stains were halfway down my shirt, sometimes nearly the bottom. It’s tough to say that out-loud on the internet, and I want to downplay it. But I’m an honest reviewer so here we are talking about the gallon of water I lose daily through my armpits.
I held off on getting certain dri because I heard of the bad reactions. Rash or burning or itching or cracking. All sounds terrible right?? But after enough embarrassment about my sweatiness, the risk of a reaction was no longer was a deterrent because I wanted to hide everyday and just WISHED to have normal, fresh, dry, “girly” armpits.
When the package came in the mail, I used it that night. The next day, NO visible sweat! I was impressed that it was so instant. Since then, I’ve used the product consistently and I’ve had no problems with my excessive sweating! I’ve had no reactions, and no side effects other than extreme happiness and an increase in confidence.
Also an interesting side note, I’ve noticed that since using this product, my body doesn’t feel cold as often since it’s not saturated with sweat all day. I have more color in my fingers/hands, and my veins are more visible which is a sign of better circulation.
I know a lot of people may be hesitant to use this product because “sweating is a normal bodily response”. But sometimes, bodies don’t do things the right amount, such as sweating so much you’re dehydrated and cold from being wet all day, plus too embarrassed to do anything leading to a dip in confidence and ultimately a bit of depression.
Overall if you’ve made it here on this page, you’ll probably benefit from the amount of confidence and freedom this product has given me and a lot of other people in the comments.
Tanzer Balimtas –
This product was a lifesaver. Like many others, I had a problem with sweating solely under my arms. I’m 19 years old, and have had this problem since I was about 15. Even when it was 30 degrees outside and all I had on was a windbreaker jacket (and I would be freezing on my walk to class), I would still have sweat stains after just 30 minutes after my shower when I took off my jacket. They weren’t huge sweat stains, but they were definitely noticeable and extremely uncomfortable. I found myself going to the bathroom several times throughout the day and putting my shirt under the hand-dryer in order to dry the sweat stains. This happened no matter what. I even started wearing dry-fit athletic shirts in order to have the sweat dry faster when I didn’t have access to a hand-dryer. This was just an uncomfortable when I sweat, if not more. I also applied deodorant several times a day because I was worried I would smell. The issue with my sweating was that when it got through my shirt, because my shirt didn’t have deodorant on it, my underarms themselves didn’t smell, but my shirt did. This was when I started putting deodorant on my shirt and sometimes staining it, so it was a vicious cycle.
AND THEN I FOUND THIS PRODUCT, which saved my life. I can’t tell you how happy this product has made me. I don’t sweat at ALL anymore (unless of course I workout, which makes complete sense). I have no more sweat stains, no more discomfort, and no more smell.
How I use this product:
Because I tend to sweat a lot, I apply this product twice a day, though some people could most definitely get away with only applying it once every day or maybe even once every two days.
I apply this roll-on antiperspirant twice a day: once after I shower in the morning, and once before I go to sleep. I’ve noticed that I’m protected all throughout the day, so even with my sweat, I may be able to get away with just once a day. I just got this product a few days ago, and it immediately started working.
Note: just make sure after you shower, wait about 5 minutes for your body to dry a little bit, and then apply it. Then wait another 5 minutes for the deodorant to dry before you put on a shirt so it doesn’t stain the shirt. Same thing goes for when you want to go to sleep. Just apply it, then wait about 5-10 minutes before you climb into bed.
Notes about deodorant: I haven’t had an issue with applying the antiperspirant first, and then the deodorant. I just apply a little bit of deodorant so that if I do sweat a little bit, it doesn’t smell. The antiperspirant is odorless, so I like to feel fresh with the deodorant. However, before I had the antiperspirant I tended to apply several swipes of the deodorant – now I only apply 1 gentle swipe just so the antiperspirant doesn’t rub off. So far it hasn’t at all changed the effects of the antiperspirant.
Small side effect: for the most part, my day-to-day routine hasn’t changed at all, as well as how I feel during the day. The only very small side effect is very, very slight itchiness when I have the antiperspirant applied. It’s very small, and I often don’t even notice it. This may be as a result of me shaving my underarms, but nonetheless it still does happen sometimes.
Overall, this is an absolutely fantastic product that is very well worth the money. It’s worth every single penny spent.
