Nice and strong. I only have one cup, maybe two per day (depending on how long the day), so it’s got to be perfect.
This doesn’t disappoint!
Nice and strong, stands up to sugar and half and half, but is great black as well.
Great coffee 🙂

As a previous roaster/retailer of fine coffees, I have purchased this many times and its pretty good. I generally roast Sumatra dark for our espresso machine but sometimes I’m just lazy and this coffee does the job for us. Good price

One of the best blends I have personally tried. Strong enough without being too bitter. Bitter enough that you can add to milk without loosing its flavor. Caffeine content is fine I guess, but again I’m used to very strong coffee (cuban), so that’s subjective because my wife tries this one and had palpitations, so I imagine caffeine is there, somewhere, lol! Overall is a very nice blend. I would definitely buy it again.

Overall it’s a good wake up coffee, very bitter if drunk straight in my opinion, but with a little sugar and milk it’s definitely tasty. I drink it from a standard coffee maker so I can’t say how it’d be in another coffee making method. Still very good coffee for me.

I’m a dark roast whole bean guy. These are excellent. They have a nice deep color, strong sweet aroma, grind up nicely, and make an excellent delicious cup of joe. Extremely delicious.

If I use too many beans it’s bitter, too little it’s gross, but when you get it just right you want to gargle with it.
This is a wonderful daily. i look forward to a cup and scent it provides, it’s fantastic for the price!

I recently discovered the Copper Moon Whole Bean Coffee, specifically the Dark Roast Sumatra Blend, and it has completely transformed my coffee-drinking experience. As someone who had been missing out on the magic of whole beans for most of my life, I am now awakened to the intense flavor and aroma that this coffee delivers.
First and foremost, the flavor of Copper Moon’s Dark Roast Sumatra Blend is truly exceptional. From the moment I opened the bag, I was greeted by an irresistible aroma that hinted at the rich and bold flavors to come. The beans are carefully selected and expertly roasted to perfection, resulting in a deep and intense flavor profile that captivates the senses. With each sip, I am greeted by notes of earthy richness, dark chocolate, and a hint of smokiness, creating a truly memorable coffee experience.
Using whole coffee beans has been a revelation for me. The process of grinding the beans just before brewing ensures maximum freshness and flavor. It’s an art form in itself, as I adjust the grind size to suit my preferred brewing method, whether it’s a French press, pour-over, or espresso. The act of grinding the beans releases the enticing aroma, further enhancing the anticipation of that first sip.
The quality of Copper Moon’s whole beans is evident in every cup. The beans are carefully sourced from the renowned coffee-growing region of Sumatra, known for producing exceptional coffee. The attention to detail and commitment to excellence shine through in the final product. The beans are consistently roasted to a dark perfection, resulting in a brew that is robust, full-bodied, and incredibly satisfying.
Furthermore, the 2-pound bag of Copper Moon Whole Bean Coffee ensures that I have a generous supply of this flavor-packed goodness at my disposal. It’s a delightful treat to indulge in every morning, knowing that I am starting my day with a coffee that is truly unparalleled in its depth and complexity.
I must also mention the packaging of Copper Moon coffee, which is both practical and visually appealing. The resealable bag helps maintain the freshness of the beans, ensuring that every cup is as delicious as the first. The elegant design and informative labeling make it a standout addition to my coffee pantry.
My introduction to Copper Moon Whole Bean Coffee, particularly the Dark Roast Sumatra Blend, has been a flavor-packed journey of discovery. The intense and captivating flavor, the joy of grinding fresh beans, and the overall premium quality of this coffee have elevated my coffee routine to new heights. If you’re seeking a coffee that awakens the senses and delivers a truly intense experience, I highly recommend trying Copper Moon Whole Bean Coffee. Prepare to be swept away by its irresistible charm.

Shy away from dark roast beans due to the oiliness and its incompatibility with the super-automatic unit I have. These beans are not oily, and dark enough to brew a moderate robust coffee. Price is very good.
Honest Opinions –
I hate giving a bad review, and I really wanted to like this coffee. The label is beautiful, and it would be a good price for a Sumatra if it was even a decent cup of coffee. It wasn’t. I was a little put off when I opened the bag, it didn’t have a good rich coffee smell and the beans didn’t look right (see pic). When I ground it, it felt sort of fluffy between my finger tips, I guess? It felt wrong. Finally, when I brewed it, it didn’t smell great and the flavor and color were weak. As a comparison, I really like Safeway’s store brand of Sumatra coffee (has a tiger on the label) which has beautiful dark, shiny beans and tastes and smells fantastic. Henry’s Blend from Seattle’s Best Coffee is my other favorite. I try to keep my coffee spending at or under .40/oz so I’m always looking for a dependable coffee to buy in big quantities whenever it falls below that. This was not it, and I didn’t want anyone else hurting their budget when it could be better spent elsewhere. There were reviews to that effect and I should have paid attention.
