My only complaint is that I can’t get these cheaper! As the water boils in a kettle, note the beautiful packaging that splits open with a thumbnail. Read the enchanting text and remove the clear lid. Inside is not a typical sodium-based flavor packet but rather something that looks like a travel soap. Open it. It looks like a mini soap bar made of volcanic material. Upon closer inspection, you can see that it is made of pressed, freeze-dried vegetables. I made two different flavors at once and noted that the pressed vegetable blocks were different based on flavor. I licked it like a deer and found it to be quite flavorful, not just pressed salt. Place the flavor block back on top and pour the water in. They tell you to fill it to the marked line, but we like ours strong and dry in our household. We fill it to the top of the noodles. Replace lid, wait three minutes. If you made it short on brother, you’ll need to stir it in order to break down the flavor block. It tastes amazing. Lower calorie than most instant noodles, much lower sodium, gluten free, and has some nutrients that vary based on the flavor – which is a sign that this is ‘real’ food more than your regular processed noodles. I love mung bean noodles and glass noodles but they’re hard to find.

After ordering these, I was shocked that I had paid so much for so few servings (about $2.33 per bowl). Once I got these, again, I had to shake my head at my own indulgence. Then I tasted them! OH… MY… GOSH!!!! These were, without a doubt, the BEST oriental noodles I’ve ever tasted. To say that they didn’t skimp on the mushrooms is an understatement! There were mushrooms in every bite. And not just little bits of mushrooms. They were whole, and the texture and taste was wonderful. Another wonderful surprise was that the noodles never got mushy or stuck together — even when I forgot I had them soaking, and left them for more than 20 minutes. Another nice surprise was learning that these wonderful noodles have four grams of fiber in each bowl. Even though these are very filling (probably because of the fiber), they only contain 190 calories, and 1 gram of fat. One bowl is perfect for any entire meal. And the flavor is perfect… not too spicy, not too bland, but just right.
Added to all the above is that they’re incredibly easy to prepare. Open the flavor/mushroom/egg pack, put it atop noodles, pour boiling water over everything, replace cover and wait three minutes. There are two things I do different when preparing these (but just because of my preferences, not because the instructions are faulty — they’re not). I add less water than the instructions suggest — I prefer these more noodle-y and less soup-ey, and 1-1/2 cups of boiling water is the perfect amount for my preference. I also let it set for five minutes, giving the noodles a chance to soak up more of the water.
Are these mushrooms pricey? Yes, they are. Are they overpriced? Not at all! I will definitely buy these tasty and nutritious noodles again!

The noodles were good but the flavor was lacking, most of the flavors didn’t taste like anything. I had to add my own seasoning and some lemon and it was better lol

I first had these kinds of noodles in Guam and Okinawa. I loved them but I could not find them locally for years. I had them with strips of lean meat and chicken back then. I think i have had them with Sukiyaki too.
So different than other noodles. I They are clear but absorb flavors and colors of whatever is mixed with them. I ordered the 6 mushroom kind. There were plenty of mushrooms. If you love mushrooms, you will probably love these too. I don’t know, I found them needing meat or chicken I guess, so am going to order the other flavors to try or maybe add my own to these. There are a lot of noodles here and the flavor is wonderful. It is an excellent quality product, in my opinion. My son likes them as well. He lets all his noodles set for an hour to fully absorb flavors and become more pliable. These noodles are particularly firm. He loves noodles and since we have discovered the better ones on Amazon, he will not eat the cheaper ones anymore that he use to love. They are different than egg or other types of noodles but seem to soak up the flavors better. Very filling. I think they would also make a great side dish with other foods. Probably worth the additional cost.
I am going to order the other flavors of crystal noodles to try.

These are the BEST!! Low calories and packed with flavor. It’s so comforting on those nights when I have a lot of homework and I don’t want to cook or go outside to get food. It fits my macros as I’m trying to eat less carbs and less saturated fat, so the crystal noodles and vegetarian flavors work out in my favor.
The only real issue I have with these is the excessively high sodium content. I really make sure I’ve had my sodium levels in check before deciding to eat one of these because there’s almost a day’s worth of sodium in one small bowl! I counteract this by adding water almost to the top of the cup (instead of just to the line as the instructions say) and then I just don’t drink the soup after. This means my noodles and veggies are less salty, and since I’m not drinking the soup afterwards, I’m cutting out a lot of the sodium. I like to cook up a bunch of spinach or other veggies, and add an egg to the bowl with some radish kimchi on the side. It’s so comforting with the slurpy soft noodles and the crunchy radish, with the richness of a soft poached egg. I’m also upping my fiber intake and protein with veggies and egg. It really helps make this a more filling and substantial, while healthier meal. Hope this helps!

We got these yesterday and had them for lunch today. I added some dried ramen dehydrated fish and veggies to them. Very spicy and I loved the chew of the noodles. My husband said I could have the rest and he would stick to instant ramen. I’m so glad I get the rest!! Easy to make. Not too salty and I loved the spice level. Will be reordering.

TL;DR:
These noodles offer a tasty and convenient option for ramen lovers. With a variety of flavors and easy preparation, they make for a satisfying meal. However, some may find the portion size a bit small compared to traditional ramen options.
Review:
These noodles provide a convenient and flavorful alternative to traditional ramen. With six different flavors in the variety pack, there is plenty of variety to satisfy different taste preferences.
One of the standout features of these noodles is their taste. The flavors are well-balanced and enjoyable, offering a satisfying experience with each bowl. Whether you prefer a classic chicken flavor or something more adventurous like kimchi, these noodles have options to suit different cravings.
Preparing these noodles is quick and easy. Simply add boiling water and let them sit for a few minutes. The noodles have a good texture and are not overly soft or mushy when cooked properly.
While the taste and convenience of these noodles are commendable, it’s worth noting that the portion size may be smaller than what some ramen enthusiasts are accustomed to. Those with larger appetites may find themselves wanting a bit more substance. However, considering the convenience and flavor, this may not be a significant issue for everyone.
In summary, these noodles offer a tasty and convenient option for those looking for a quick ramen alternative. The variety of flavors and easy preparation make them an appealing choice. However, individuals with larger appetites may find the portion size a bit small compared to traditional ramen options. Overall, these noodles provide a satisfying and flavorful meal.
Pros:
– Variety of flavors to suit different tastes
– Convenient and quick preparation
– Well-balanced and enjoyable taste
– Good texture of the noodles
Cons:

I just did not like the flavor nor the noodle texture. The noodles were not plesant. I tried adding some fish sauce and soy sauce but the soup was so bland. There were pretty big mushrooms in there but maybe it’s just my palet.

I would love to leave a five-star review because the product is actually delicious. I love the kimchi flavor. But the last two times I’ve ordered two boxes of the kimchi they send me one box of kimchi and a box of something else. And they don’t allow a replacement or a return therefore I have to give them a one star and it pains me to do that. If they could fix this and stop doing that I would love to give a five-star review. The product is expensive and it’s a waste of money to give me something I did not ask for

Crystal Noodle’s Spicy Sesame Paste in a 2.47 oz Cardboard Cup, offered in a convenient 6-count package, promises a quick, flavorful noodle fix but falls short of expectations, earning a modest two-star rating. The product, which teases a spicy and savory experience, unfortunately skims on the depth and intensity of flavors, leaving a lot to be desired for those seeking a bold taste adventure.
The allure of this noodle cup lies in its convenience and the promise of a spicy sesame infusion. The packaging suggests a hassle-free preparation, ideal for quick meals or snacks. However, upon tasting, the ‘spicy’ element seems to be a misnomer. Instead of the anticipated warmth and complexity that sesame and spice should bring, the noodles swim in a sea of mildness, lacking the punch that one would expect from a product labeled as spicy.
While the texture of the noodles may be satisfactory, providing a suitable chewiness that one seeks in instant noodle dishes, it’s the flavor profile that significantly underwhelms. The sesame paste, which should be the star of the show, fails to deliver the rich, nutty, and fiery notes that could elevate these noodles from simple to spectacular.
This shortfall is particularly noticeable for those who relish authentic or robustly flavored Asian noodle dishes. The expectation of a spicy kick, combined with the aromatic depth of sesame, remains unmet, leaving the palate searching for the excitement that was promised.
For those seeking a mild, understated noodle dish, Crystal Noodle’s Spicy Sesame Paste may suffice. However, for the spice enthusiasts and flavor chasers, this product might not hit the mark, hence the two-star rating.
TL;DR: Crystal Noodle’s Spicy Sesame Paste noodles, while convenient and easy to prepare, disappoint in the flavor department, offering a bland experience rather than the expected spicy and rich sesame taste. It earns two stars, suitable for those preferring milder flavors but a letdown for those craving a true spicy kick.
