We’ve used desitin since our baby was born, since all of our family members recommended it. As a first time parent you’ll notice a smell to any butt paste used but you get used to it; i know we have. It takes just a little to cover the area. I noticed our baby had a bad diaper rash and we consistently used desitin with each diaper chance until healed and it healed within a day or two. I highly recommend this product to all parents. It is a perfect traveling size to throw in the diaper bag and be on the go with.

I bought this for my baby, who has super sensitive skin and got a diaper rash with any new wipe/diaper that we used. Early on, I used this A LOT and bought several other brands as well to see what worked. This was by far my favorite zinc containing cream. There is a slight smell that I can’t describe but it’s barely noticeable and I actually kind of like it (the Boudreaux butt paste scent was so unbearable, I couldn’t even be bothered to use it so this scent is great in comparison). It’s thick and white, goes on easy, and helps gradually. Now I use Aquaphor with every diaper change and haven’t had to use this stuff in a long time but it’s still my go to for a rash. I would recommend it!

Although newer popular products exists, I stand by this staple that my mom used with me in the early 80s. Wildly effective and I always have in diaper bag and at home just in case. Tip: apply proactively when going on road trips to avoid diaper rash from time in car seat.
