We got these after using the original Diaper Genie unscented bags and struggling with diaper odor in the unit. The diaper odor control is vastly improved in this version! The scent on these is a bit strong at first and it will get on your hands when you change the bag, but we consider that worth the exchange of the increased diaper odor control while in use in the unit. If you have an overly sensitive nose and were struggling with diaper odor using the original bags, these are a good alternative.

These amazingly do exactly what they are advertised to do. Our nursery isn’t huge so air circulation (and diaper stink) is a big issue. These bags do a great job at blocking the odor and they feel nice and durable when throwing out the used diapers. That said, the refill doesn’t fit my Genie Complete as well as the thinner bag refill, so the lid can stay slightly open if you don’t align it well.

I use my Diaper Genie for cat litter because I have my child’s litter box in my bedroom. And I ran out of the bags for the Diaper Genie, so just put in a scented trash bag which worked for the used litter. But not for the smell. After a couple of days, I could smell it a wee bit when the lid was closed. So I got these and they are honestly brilliant. No smell AT ALL.
I had trouble getting the used litter down the slot – very messy. So I buy Dollar store flap over sandwich bags and scoop used litter clumps into them. Then push them down the slot. Works well. I probably change a bag about once a week (BIG cat) And there is NO SMELL. It works so well. Love these.

When you’re dealing with poop you don’t want the cheap imitation diaper genie rings that rip and tear and stink up the house. These are thick, strong, durable, smell good, coveralls the fecal stench, easy to cut with the diaper genie blade mechanism and worth every penny.
