besides great taste, Squid Brand is smarter than other fish sauce companies, they have a small hole on top so when you add fish sauce, too much doesn’t come out, Fish sauce is real strong and you just need a little bit to flavor your food,.
Other stupid fish sauce companies have a big hole and too much fish sauce comes out, ruining your food.

Thai food, Vietnamese food, many other food types need fish sauce, because of the salty umami that only fish sauce gives. If you like cooking Asian foods, keep this in your larder. My favorite dish using it is laab, which is a spicy ground chicken and fresh herbs salad from Thailand, and uses lime juice, fish sauce, palm sugar, and ground toasted glutinous rice. It smells like feet but tastes absolutely amazing
