I’ve used this meat a lot, mostly for tacos.
Only one strange thing. I always have to work harder to break up Amazon’s ground beef compared to the ground beef from Ralph’s. I start with a sharp knife, or I use two spatulas and some extra elbow grease because I don’t want big chunks of ground beef in my tacos.

Not a big beef/meat eater but will indulge every blue moon for Tacos.
Literally taste like the cow was vegan or grass fed! Lol Just an overall different taste in this brand of ground beef versus the grocery stores

At first, I was skeptical about buying meat from Amazon groceries but I’m very pleasantly surprised 90% of the time it’s great quality, good cuts, fresh and delicious meat. This hamburger is lean and sometimes cheaper than the 80% hamburger packages. Great for stove top hamburgers, grilling hamburger, meal dinners in a box, salads, meatballs, spaghetti, lasagna etc. (please keep up the good work, Amazon with your meat products) I highly recommend this product. Give it a try! & Keep a eye out for sales, save money, and please price compare.

This is pretty decent ground beef.
And while I think the taste of the 85/15 blend is a bit better than the 90/10, I’ve been mostly buying the 90/10 just to avoid some of that fat.
It’s important to remember—or shocking to learn—that ground beef with ten percent fat BY WEIGHT nevertheless delivers about FIFTY PERCENT of its CALORIES from that fat.
That’s just because fat is a lot more densely caloric than the muscle meat in the “lean” portion of any ground beef.
Likewise:
85/15 ground beef: about 60 percent of its calories come from fat.
80/20 ground beef: about 70 percent of its calories come from fat.
70/30 ground beef: about 80 percent of the calories come from fat. (Yikes!)
As for the “value for money” question that Amazon asked as part of this reviewing process, it depends entirely on the price. In less than a year and a half, I’ve seen this product offered at various prices for the one pound:
$7.22, $7.99, $7.49, $7.79, $8.39, $8.29, $8.49, $5.89, $5.99, $7.69, $7.29. $6.99, $5.79
And, yes, the prices have sometimes gone down as well as up.
