Only bought them due to unavailability in stores. Flavor fine, just only a couple still green. Rest yellowish, like when they have been around a while. I wanted them for baked goods & to garnish with. Not too great for garnish due to poor coloring.

My husband is from Florida. We live in Seattle. After about five years of listening to him dream about real key lime pie, I did an Amazon search and found these babies. Now I live just about as far as you can be from Florida and still be in the continental US. In my two purchases I received perfectly ripe and fresh key limes. I saw some complaints in other reviews, but my experience with this company has been amazing. My orders arrived quickly and well packaged. None of them were bruised, crushed, old, or needed to be thrown out. I’ve never had one bad lime delivered. It’s purely my own speculation, but I’m not sure I believe the negative reviews are the fault of the company. It’s easy to let something sit for a long time and let it go bad. Maybe they were left on their doorstep during extreme weather? I don’t know. But what I do know is that both of my experiences from clear across the country exceeded my expectations. And the pies came out great!

It’s a shame that perishable products aren’t guaranteed. I needed these for a recipe for thanksgiving. The delivery date was 2 days before the holiday so I figured plenty of time. Product arrived the day after thanksgiving, repackaged and spoiled. No refund and I was told it was my fault for not choosing expedited shipping. Why offer anything else but expedited shipping if that’s the only way it will arrive ok to use?

First time using these. Glad they are available. I tested one lime and it seemed sweet and a very nice juice for a key lime pie.

I never purchased key limes before but I recently bought this bag to make a key lime pie. Key limes aren’t the easiest to find and in the interest of saving time, I purchased these. There was a generous quantity (probably like 30) and only one was bad. I think that’s quite good, as they were sent in the heat of the summer. They are more yellow than green, but after researching it, I discovered that’s the color of a ripe key lime. They also don’t ripen off the branch, so from what I can tell, when they arrive, they are as ripe as they are going to be. They made great juice and my pie was wonderful. Would buy again.

Definitely pay attention to the season.. and package arrived all bent up. Some were good will others needed to be trashed.
