Tried to send some bananas to widowed sister in law in NY to put on cereal. Corn flakes arrived excellent, as advertised. Bananas arrived already black an inedible. First time I have been grossly disappointed with any Amazon orders. Hopefully Amazon will delete bananas to small towns where shipping is so slow food perishes.

I always have a banana every day in my diet. When I ran out and it got too snowy and cold to go out. I substituted banana chips. But when the real fresh bananas arrive and in good condition with a tiny bit of green on both ends, I was glad. Couldn’t wait to have one with breakfast. Very tasty and well packed with taped ends and fast delivery. I was so happy after eating I was close to happy tears. Good to know they can be ordered on Amazon. I was leery but so glad I did and it was better then I imagined. A little pricey but so well worth it. Will buy again

These came in a priority mail box with minimal padding. A few ended up smashed. Several were cracked and bruised, but most look really tasty. I didn’t expect them all to arrive entirely undamaged. I was impressed with how quickly they got here. They did, however, require several days from when I ordered them until they were finally shipped.

I got 8 bananas. One I had to throw away as it was mushy. Three had a few brown marks but one of those I did eat and it was not damaged inside. All were ripe. I have eaten two so far and they have a great banana taste. Since I started eating only organic I am spoiled with the wonderful taste so there you are. It costs more but is worth it. I suggest the seller cushion them more because mine had to make a long trip up to my part of the world (I live on an island and can see Canada from my deck) and since only one on the side was mushy I’m assuming it was FEDEX. I don’t complain because I am thrilled that, as I am elderly, I am still able to stay in my home and have a great variety of produce and groceries appear on my doorstep every week. Over the past two years I have seen packaging improve so I think this problem will fix itself
Followup: I ordered these again and they arrived really hard and green, which I thought was okay. It is now over two weeks since I got them and they have shown no signs of any yellow. Still hard and green. I’m wondering how long they will take to ripen. It seems like a very long time.

Bought these bananas for my elderly parents that live an hour away after I forgot to include them when I drop of extra grocery for them weekly. Yes bananas are .99/lb in the store. This was for pure convenience. Still took 3 days to delivery – so convenience took a small hit. Plus $15 for the same amount of bananas I pay $2.89 in the store is enough to make me get of my “too busy-right-now” ass and just spend $5 for gas and do it myself.

Like the idea of delivery and I love bananas. However, badly bruised but ripe and still salvageable to eat. However if this is the best that can be done. I’ll go to shop rite Instead of ordering. Prefer bananas that will not turn to fast and still have time to ripen before being considered a waist.
