The first batch I gave three stars, as many were browning on the inside. This batch is much better even though it’s later in the season. Peels weren’t as yellow, but the inside is juicy. I hope every batch is good from now on.

I had to rewrite this review. The first two lemons I had were great. The rest since have had browning on the inside towards the center, which I read is due to insufficient nutrients. Most of them are also a pale yellow and hard. I’ve been storing them in my fridge in the fruit compartment. I expect better for the price.

Also, improved protection during shipping could be better for how much it costs.

I just received my 5 lbs of lemons! I needed organic for making limoncello. I’m going to juice them after and freeze it in ice cube trays for future use. These are fresh and good quality. Do not expect the blemish free, chemically treated lemons from the store. The do have some spots, but that’s nature. I can feel good about gifting clean, chemical free limoncello to my friends and family.

These lemons were hard, green and not ripe. When I contacted the seller, I received an email stating that the weather conditions affect the product and I don’t know what ripe lemons look like. I very much know what ripe lemons look like and these were picked way too soon. I received a $20 “courtesy refund” for a product I spent almost $40 on including shipping and CANNOT use for homemade limoncello, which was intended to be for holiday gifts. I’m very disappointed in the lemons and the poor customer service from this company. Ripe lemons are supposed to have a smooth surface (these are pitted), be the color of an egg yolk, have a thin skin, and feel heavy for their size. These are too firm and do not render much juice at all. There is no way I can use the peel for limoncello. Major disappointment as they cannot be used at all, so save your money and do not buy them!!

The lemons look beautiful when I opened box. They were very cold as it’s cold here 18 degrees and snowing but I sliced into one and it is just great. I am happy with the product from this vendor.
