Universal Paper Roll Towels are an essential supply, and often the most economical way, for away-from-home facilities to meet their hand-drying and light cleaning needs. Some picky users have noted these aren’t the most absorbant paper towels in the world, lets set the record straight, these guys don’t even pretend to be super absorbant, soft or squeesable. When my wife opened them, I asked her to toss me one to see if other reviews about lack of absorbancy were correct. To my surprise it was like being tossed a dura log. Yup, the wood origins of these paper towels are strong. They are not processed into aerated 50% air 50% bleached flour, these are wood. If anyone doubts the wood origin of paper, the proof is in these towels.
You may be surprised to see a 5 star review, well, read on. I am the father of several teenagers, who don’t think twice about ripping 3 to 5 sheets of paper towel to clean up condensate from the bottom of a cup. Yup, no coasters for my kids, not when 3 to 5 sheets of paper towels can clean up a self evaporating water film. Sometimes the water has evaporated before they return with the towels, which of course are then used and get tossed into the trash.
Trying to explain to teenagers that paper towels cost money, that use of a lot of towels for a small, self repairing spill can’t be cost effective, is like trying to teach calculus to my dog, no it’s worse, the dog will listen and be happy to have the attention my kids get annoyed when dad lectures.
Today my 6 foot 14 year old son yanked on the Georgia Pacific Preference 27770 white 2 ply paper towel roll it yanked back (soft of) due to the laws of physics. This is the first roll of paper towels I’ve witnessed obeying newtons laws, it has inertia, each sheet has limited tensile strength, thus a body at rest will stay at rest until acted on by an external force. My son was able to rip only a single piece, the mass of the roll fought back against his pull. This as the pieces are thin and the Georgia Pacific rolls are massive. He then proceeded to wipe the ice cream from his face. The mass of the roll combined with the weakness of each individual sheet work with the law of inertia to limit the number of towels dispensed to a teenage boy making a mindless tug at the roll to clean up a small spot cost effective! It was enough to make me want to teach physics to my dog, but instead at my wife’s urging the energy was diverted to writing this review (the dog was in the shower getting cleaned and dried with a cloth towel that is another tale, as the dog wasn’t available, my wife suggested I do something else with my time thus this review).
Now we return from the dog shower, to the paper towel saga. YES the Georgia Pacific paper towel was up to the challenge presented by my son, his face was clean, and he hand’t used 3, 5 or 7 towels to complete the task. Instead he was able to yank but a single sheet. Yes Bounty, Sparkle or whatever may be squeezably soft, but this log barely disguised as paper towels is tough as wood and it makes me happy. Each roll is so massive that put on a stick they could be easily weaponized. Put in a fire place, I’d bet these Georgia Pacific Preference 27700 paper towels would burn (with some cajoling) and give a dura log an unexpected challenge.
So yes, my wife and I still use softer two ply paper towels, hidden in a place where our teenagers will never find (under the sink). We use the softer towels when needed, but for the most part, if you have a small spill, a single sheet of these Georgia Pacific towels will clean it. When the basement floods, we’ll chuck a few rolls bounty or a super sized roll of Sparkle down to absorb the flood. For most paper towel uses these Georgia Pacific wood shavings are great.
If you need to dry a river, get Bounty or Sparkle, if you need to clean up a small spill, get Georgia Pacific Preference 27700 White 2 ply (not the 1 ply, not 27699, not the non Preference, ohhh no, you need Georgia Pacific Preference 27700 White for certain. Even in naming things Georgia Pacific seems to be a bit like wood, I’m willing to bet 27700 has some meaning, but come on, Bounty, Sparkle, the competition at least pretends to make things seem inviting, maybe advertising it as the weaponizable burning cudgel that also absorbs small spills would appeal to survivalists). How about Georgia Pacific general purpose wood shavings.

This review is based on having gone through 3 cases of these paper towels (90 roles).
Pros:
Per paper towel, they’re very inexpensive. For “approximately” (explained further under cons) full-sized paper towels, these have the lowest per towel cost I could find for a two ply paper towel on Amazon. Please note that I was not looking for “select a size” towels as I don’t care for those.
Cons:
They’re thin- these paper towels definitely feel “cheap” to me. They don’t absorb a lot and I typically found myself grabbing at least 2 paper towels at a time
They’re short- you should note that these “full-sized” paper towels are only 8.8 inches long. For comparison, the ones I’m currently using, as well as most others I looked at, tended to be 10.4 inches in length. I think this was contributing to me using more of them.
They don’t hold up to scrubbing- we often use a disposable paper towel along with liquid cleanser to clean spots on carpet caused by cats (hairballs) or baby (spit-up). These towels didn’t hold up to scrubbing very well at all. They would begin to disintegrate fairly quickly
Summary- The only reason I gave these paper towels 3 stars is because they are very inexpensive. But in the end, the shortcomings (absorbency, towel length, and durability) made us decide against purchasing any more. We have currently switched to Brawny Individually Wrapped Regular Paper Towels Rolls, White, 30 Count, also purchased on amazon. As of this writing, the Brawny towels are 65% higher priced on a per towel basis. If you take into account that the GP towels are shorter, the Brawny towels are then only 40% higher priced, based on total length of the roll. Although we’ve just begun using the Brawny towels, they’re significantly thicker and more absorbent and seem to hold up better. I find that I can go back to using only 1 towel for light tasks and I think we’re going to be pleased with them.

love Spigen products. I purchased the Spigen case and absolutely love it. It’s durable and already protected my phone against several falls. So naturally, when it was time to order a screen protector, I chose the Spigen screen protector.
I live in a household where we ALL have multiple iPhones. Even my toddler has an older iPhone he uses to go on apps or play games on. Every now and again, my little guy gets annoyed with his "old" iPhone 5 and wants to upgrade and use my brand now iPhone 6S lol. In addition to my toddler playing rough with my phones, I am not the most delicate when it comes to phones. Needless to say, screen protectors in this house are a MUST!I have a large family so the constant purchasing of bulk size packages of paper towels gets some what exhausting.When I found this I was ELATED,true seller took a little longer than expected to deliver but well worth the wait. They are thick,durable and I have no complaints. Now to find a place to store all of them but I sure don’t mind. I think the same product have changed providers in the past, but currently at $27.4 plus $5.25 ship and no tax is the cheapest deal I found for paper towels delivered to home. I odered for 3 or 4 times within the last year and they are great, I said good bye to bulky supermarket carts with towel packages. Towels come in huge box with 30 rolls, they are average quality as expected, and delivery happened within a few days. ave an old rescued dog who can no longer control her bowl movement. A few cleanups a day really burn through kitchen paper towels fast (I usually use Viva). When I found these on Amazon for a good price, I ordered a huge box of.
These Georgia-Pacific rolls are loosely rolled so each roll only has 85 sheets which are 8.8 inch wide. If you have used choose-a-size towels, and the regular towels, this is around 1.5 inch wider than most choose-a-size towels, but smaller than regular 11 inch towel. For my kitchen towels, being strong and absorbent like Viva means less waste. However, for my dog, a stack of towels go directly to the litter gennie or outdoor garbage cans. The Georgia-Pacific are not as strong and absorbent like Viva, but fit my purpose perfectly at more reasonable price. Plus Amazon delivered a huge box of it to my door, so I don’t need to constantly shop around for a sale on an expensive brand. It’s a win win!
I’ve purchased cheap screen protectors in the past and found I had to replace them every few months.
Unlike some of the cheaper protectors, the Spigen screen protector for iPhone 6s is made from tempered glass, not plastic. It is harder and less easy to scratch. It also protects your screen better because it provides a thicker layer of protection. It was also very easy to install. It pretty much came with everything needed to apply the screen protector. It also came with a very detailed instruction guide on how to properly install the screen protector.
I cleaned the screen with an alcohol wipe. I then used the dry cloth in the kit to completely dry my screen before applying the screen protector. The guide stickers are also included to pretty much keep the the installation dummy-proof. This helps against those nasty bubbles that form when the screen is improperly installed. Once my screen was clean, I used the stickers to guide and drop the protector onto the screen. It adhered perfectly and smoothly, with no bubbles. The size is smaller than the front glass of the iPhone, however I found this helps it to stay on screen properly with my case on it.
The screen protector is very clear, you won’t realize its exists. It provides good protection for smudges. The nice thing is that it doesn’t interfere with any function of the Touch 3D.
My two year son immediately grabbed the phone from me and put his little sticky fingers all over it. To my surprise, there were no fingerprint marks left on the screen. Pretty impressive.
I cannot comment on the durability of the screen protector since I just applied it. However, if I am not satisfied, I will update my review.
Overall I highly recommend this screen protector. I love that it comes with everything you need to install.
Although I received this screen protector free or at a discounted rate to provide an unbiased honest review, this doesn’t affect my five star rating for it. I rely heavily on reviews before buying products so I personally like to be honest when reviewing items myself! I have these on subscribe and save. I get them twice a year – that’s more than enough paper towels for my 2 adult household for an over a YEAR. My husband uses a ridiculous amount of paper towels. For some reason he will NOT use a hand towel to dry his hands in the kitchen – instead it’s half a dozen paper towels. And apparently 1 paper towel is never enough for anything he needs it for – at least 2, usually more. That said – he also never changes the empty roll. I was so sick of going to get a paper towel only to find a cardboard tube! 250 sheets on a roll – I couldn’t even tell you how long it’s been since I replaced the roll of towels. These are thin – but they work for 99% of what I need paper towels for. I hate printed paper towels. I hate 1/2 sheet perforations. I was no longer able to find plain white, full sheet paper towels locally. They are all 1/2 sheet perfs! I found these and have never looked back. Thanks Georgia Pacific!!
