Venus’s pubic hair and skin blades are specifically designed to help protect pubic skin from shave irritation. They have a patented irritation defense bar and optimally spaced blades that allow the blades to cut hair while barely touching the skin. Also, the razor refills come equipped with a precision Trimmer on the back of the blades to help with tricky areas.

Great for its intended use! Not worried about nicks and cuts!

Easy to hold, pretty color combination, quality brand, but I do wish the razor blades had more of a rounded edge and a buffer and/or moisturizing piece built in there (like MANY others by Venus) since this is the bikini line after all. It cuts a nice shave but the edges are a bit harsh.

To clarify: I see a lot of reviews complaining about missing a blade: it only claims it comes with 2 (3 pieces total, 1 handle + 2 blades), which is what it comes with! One comes installed on the handle, another one to the side. Yes, there is another spot in the package to hold a blade, but the package clearly states you get 2.
It’s super gentle, can barely feel it passing over your skin. Definitely feels like the chances of any looser skin thin getting caught up is greatly reduced.
I’ve had laser and use it only as a touch up, so I already don’t struggle too much with ingrown hairs nor need extreme closeness. My main concern is that an aggressive blade often means a lot of micro cuts and nicks, especially working closer to center, which can HURT. It does a fantastic job of minimizing that. It does take an extra pass to get nice and close, but worth the extra time.
The regular venus razor is definitely not bikini friendly as the huge moisturizing strip doesn’t allow for detailed work. I normally use the men’s Fusion on my legs. The blade is much more precise, but the super close aggressive blade means I often get cut in bikini area. This is perfect for what it’s designed for, worth adding to my razor collection.
I used to be extremely prone to ingrown hairs and razor burn, even waxing wasn’t possible. I am not sure to what degree this would have eliminated that issue, nor how satisfied I would have been with the closeness. If you have really thick hair and thin skin, I don’t think there is any replacement for laser, and it’s well worth the investment. But for thinner hair, smaller touch ups, it’s 100% an upgrade over a regular razor.

First off, know what you’re getting here. This isn’t a razor for getting your crotch baby-smooth. The design is specifically built for a less close shave. This is a razor for keeping the lawn under control, not razing it completely. If you’re trying to look like a barbie doll for a photoshoot look for another solution, if you’re just trying to do routine maintenance so that your pubic hair doesn’t get annoying and out of control, that’s what this is for. The guard design keeps the razors further from your skin, so that you don’t get nicks and cuts on whatever loose flappy bits you have down there that you absolutely don’t want getting shredded up by a razor.
As for how well it actually serves that purpose, pretty well in my experience. I haven’t had any issues with slicing up my junk with these, and they get the hair short enough to not be obnoxious and in the way or getting tugged by underwear. The biggest issue is that with the low number of blades, they do get clogged quickly and dull easily, so if you go long periods between shaves (as I do when I don’t have anybody to impress) and let things get long and thick, you’ll have a hard time getting through everything and you’ll go through blades fast.
The ideal use if you’ve got long hair to work on is probably to first give a very rough trim with an electric trimmer or scissors or something to take off some of the bulk, then use this razor. Though if you’re having to use something else to shorten the hair first anyway, that kind of obviates some of the need for this, and if you’re having to delicately maneuver an electric shaver or scissors around loose, easily-snagged skin, that nullifies some of the safety benefit as well. I tend to use a trimmer on the upper pubic area, and use this razor for the detail work on the more delicate between-the-legs areas. If you’ve got a shaver with a guard that could be helpful for a first pass too.
Also, because you’ll be left with some stubble, this could lead to some chafing. However, I find that with normal razors I get one day or less of feeling nice and smooth before ingrown hairs and razor burn and the sharp regrowing stubble make the next week miserable. Because this razor doesn’t drag against the skin and doesn’t cut the hairs down to skin level, I don’t get those usual problems, so for me personally it’s way better. Razors as a hair removal method are always going to cause problems, but this one skips over the vast majority of those problems, so for my day-to-day life it’s the easy choice.
All in all, it’s a situational product that won’t make sense for everyone, but if your “situation” is one that could benefit from it, it’s a nice thing to have around.
However, there is one other downside, which is that at time of writing there don’t seem to be any refills for this particular razor available on amazon. When I went through the 2 included blades and needed to order more without paying for an extra handle, I had to find them on walmart instead. Maybe this will change in the future, but just something to keep in mind.

I’ve been using this razor, and it’s become one of my favorites. Unlike other razors I’ve tried, I didn’t experience razor bumps. Pairing it with the “Coochy Plus Intimate Shaving Cream” enhanced the experience, and I might stick with this combo for a while. While it may not provide a baby-smooth finish, it gets remarkably close, delivering a clean shave that I appreciate

I struggle with ingrown hairs which is my own problem but I feel I get ingrown with this just as much as any other razor sadly

I ordered this razor and got it a couple days ago, I’ve used it once and it does a decent job, imo. It doesn’t get a smooth shave the first time and it can be a little harsh if your skin is more on the sensitive side. The shape and color of the razor is really nice and sleek and the packaging was very nice. It does come with a spare razor head.
If the hair is thick, this will take several sweeps and cleaning out, which can be inconvenient if you’re looking for a quick shave. I would’ve gotten something else, but this was a decent purchase.

This is the best shaver I have used. It provided a smooth shave and no nicks.

I got fewer tiny nicks and less irritation when shaving my private area with this, which is why I bought it. Especially when combined with an intimate shave cream.
However: There seems to be less of a moisturizing strip with this one than other razors (although I like that it doesn’t have those sticky balls that fall out of the moisturizing strip). The release button for the razor head gets in the way of where I’d like to place my thumb. When shaving overgrown pubic hair the blades more easily get clogged than my old razor.
