LET THE GOOD TIMES ROAST!â„¢ 1lb (16 ounce) bag of Unroasted (Green) Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee beans. Strawberry, green apple and marzipan finishing notes. Ethiopia holds a high status among the coffee-producing countries for it is the “birthplace” of Arabica coffee. Yirgacheffe, located in Southern Ethiopia, is one of the most popular African districts. It is very well known for producing high-quality Ethiopian coffee beans. The acidic and mineral dense soil along with extreme altitudes create the perfect coffee growing micro-climate. Our natural-style beans are naturally dried on raised beds with the laying down of red cherry. Our beans are grown in an area surrounded by forest cover as well as rain-forest, which provide natural shade for the majority of the Arabica plants. * Our green beans do best at a medium roast profile.

Taste was not so good and seems that this product not fully washed out.
So had to be washed again before use.

First time roaster and it turned out great. Used 3/4 cup in a 10in cast iron pan. Made a dark roast first time then made a light roast. Both were great. Just made the last of it in a dark roast and odering more right now!!!

It shipped in no time flat! It didn’t promise this speed, so it was a great bonus. They also added a free 8 oz sample I wasn’t expecting. Double bonus! So, I ordered another one for a friend and she was also excited to receive it. I’m very happy with the lovely smells coming from my kitchen when I roast these, and the delicious taste!

This coffee is great for light or white roasting. Good balanced, smooth flavor. These are grown in the Arenal region, I believe, and yield a very smooth cup. A good trial roaster.

I’ve been reading the coffee house mysteries by Cleo Coyle. Her business includes roasting different coffee beans and making coffee many different ways. So I got interested in coffee roasting and different types of brewing. Tarrazu from Amazon was the first coffee bean we tried to roast. We really liked Tarrazu before so thought it a good starting place. Our first batch over a camp stove outside was barely roasted enough to smell or taste like coffee. The second batch was better, but we hit the mark on our third batch. It tasted like coffee! Since then we have roasted 3 batches in an air popper in the garage. We have used the French press and Chemex pour over methods; all have met our expectations. Will probably be ordering again since it’s our best luck; we are also ordering other types of coffee beans – Tarrazu best so far! PS We also invested in a good burr grinder – from Amazon of course.

So far, 3 of the 4 are fantastic and Tanzania is, maybe, the best. I’ve yet to try the Ethiopian. Shipping was ‘Speed o’ Light’. The free sample of Central American was much appreciated and a smart and classy touch. I think I’ll give ‘shopping around’ a break and stick with NORTH COUNTRY ROASTERS @ home-coffee-roasting.com for the forseeable future. Good peeps. Thank You

This was purchased to try roasting my own beans. Thanks to YouTube I found I could roast at home and it’s easy. I can’t compare these beans to other origin or companies, but I had good results for my first time. The taste is more interesting. I used the burner on the side of my barbeque, outside to avoid smoke in the house, with a stainless-steel frying pan and wisk to stir it all. It worked great and no electric cost. I will buy again from this company buy try a different origin just to test the difference. It has plenty of caffeine but not overboard for me.

Good way to sample three varietals. Costa Rica was my favorite. Will definitely reorder.
