I’ve had a lot of trouble with conventional toothpaste irritating the skin around my mouth. After a lot of research as to why my skin kept flaking and peeling, I narrowed it down to my toothpaste. I would end up with dry, reddened skin anywhere that I accidentally got toothpaste on. I tried a few other SLS free toothpastes but the taste was very off-putting. They would also give me a very dry, tacky taste in my mouth for several hours. This toothpaste has a great, minty taste. Teeth feel clean after brushing and continue to feel clean throughout the day. It also provides a mild whitening effect.

Honestly, this was the first time using a fluoride-free toothpaste. When I did my research it said that you have to get used to it, because it doesn’t have that same almost bubbly-soapy feeling on your teeth. Do you get canker sores? I used to get them all the time and couldn’t figure out why until I started doing my research. Turns out, SLS, or sodium lauryl sulfate can cause canker sores. SLS is used in a majority of toothpastes. I went on the hunt in the toothpaste aisle for a SLS free toothpaste. That was overwhelming and stressful. Hundreds of toothpastes and reading the boxes. 😩 I tried a couple and didn’t care for them because they didn’t foam or feel as fresh as regular toothpaste. I found the hello toothpaste and gave it a shot. It foams like regular toothpaste, it feels clean and leaves the minty taste. This toothpaste is the only kind I will use now. Best part, no more canker sores!! I just ordered the spearmint flavor, I’m going to give it a try. So if you’re looking for the best SLS free toothpaste, this brand is it. Look no more. 🙂

This toothpaste is great! I was skeptical about not have fluoride in toothpaste- but my dermatologist wanted me to try it. It is a great value for 3 bottles of toothpaste. The taste and texture are great. You would never know it didn’t have fluoride in it.
