INDIA TREE Phớ Spice mix is an enticing blend of six whole spices that give phớ, the popular Vietnamese noodle soup, its distinctive flavor. To create this traditional blend, we have combined fennel seed and star anise, coriander seed and cardamom, cinnamon and cloves. To flavor phớ with these spices, wrap them in muslin or cheesecloth to make an Asian bouquet garni. Simmer them in the broth and remove before serving.

For the price this is a complete waste.

very aromatic. Perfect blend for pho.

When I opened the jar there was like a tablespoon of spices, and a tiny piece of Cinnamon. I don’t think that even one star anise was in it. A HUGE rip off. When will I learn?

This product is amazing adding the perfect spices when making Pho, the only issue is that the price is WAY out of line, meaning I will never purchase this product again. It is just enough to make a large pot of soup, for 12 dollars I can buy a year’s supply of each individual ingredient!!
Too bad..

I had the basic idea of how to make pho. With this seasoning my family fell in love with it!

This spice mix was great for flavoring my pho. My only complaint is the price… it only makes 1 batch of broth and at $12 for the spice mix alone, that’s expensive broth. I’m glad I didn’t invest in buying bulk spices though…turns out I’m the only one in the family that likes pho!

I’ve been cooking Pho for more than 40 years. This is very good spice mix.
