UPDATE: Lowered from 2 stars to 1 when the jerky got moldy a few days after opening. Moldy jerky?! Made correctly, jerky should NEVER get moldy.

What happened to the jerky I enjoyed when I was a kid? It was dry, tough, and full of flavor.
Then the jerky makers realized, since we’re selling this by the pound, why not pump it full of syrups and sugars so the consumer is getting less meat and more fillers?
Since this is “sugar free” they instead found a way to pump it full of water. Which is crazy because the art of making good jerky is to preserve it by drying it out. Adding the water back in to weigh the meat down results in this bland, textureless and flavorless “jerky”.
I can’t even finish the first bag, I definitely won’t be buying it again.

These are great, a decent taste for a non sugar snack. I don’t normally buy beef Jerky etc to snack on so I’m not sure if it’s just this brand but make sure you refrigerate this after opening (i did not read this on the packaging til it was too late) if you don’t plan on eating the whole bag within 3 days. My husband had a pretty nasty tasting piece after a few weeks in the pantry that had some mold on it :/

Yeah it’s sugar-free but they put so much dang salt in it that I have to literally rinse it off in the sink before I eat it or I get that salt hangover that feels so awful. It’s even worse if you have a beef jerky addiction like I do.
I don’t know why they couldn’t use the same amount of salt that they use in the regular variety… If you’re having to put that much salt in the meat, I have to wonder what are you trying to hide… It doesn’t need that much salt. Seriously I wont order again. It’s probably hopeless but I will to try to find some low salt, sugar, free, beef jerky.
