Were smack dab in the middle of the great Northwoods somewhere between “where the heck are we” and Gods country. Its the kind of place where flannels good enough for Sunday, and coffee only comes one way–black. Around here, there is fresh clean air, lots of trees, good fishing and hunting. If we didnt already live here, it would be a great place to get away from it all. So, how did a guy from Minong start making beef jerky? Well, it came to me one day when my boys and I were headed out to the woods for an afternoon hunt. We stopped at a local store for snacks and bought some jerky out of the glass jar on the counter. Turned out to be about as tough as our hunting boots. It was clear to me that whoever made that tough jerky cut the meat the wrong way. You see, I know all about cutting beef, since my familys been in the meat business since the 1890s. Well, the boys and I went back home and found my great-grandfathers original recipes. The paper was yellowed, but the recipes were as good as the day they were written. We decided to try our hand at making jerky the genuine, authentic way. When the price dubled, I went to jacks links, and set up an account. one thing I noticed on my first shipment was how much fresher the meat, and taste was. The sell by dates were not that much different, but the flavor, and texture of the ones I got from jacks links was much better. Save yourself some money, and get a better product by buying directly from jacks links.

Box was taped shut and a one pack was not sealed at all. Have ordered maybe times but hit it miss of there will be open packs or not. One time there were 5 unsealed packs.
Keep ordering because can’t beat the price.

I get these sticks auto delivered every two months. In the latest delivery there were a couple of moldy meat sticks. I’m hoping this is a one-off issue. I also get jalapeno meat sticks auto-delivered and have never had a problem. It’s a keto thing.

This are pretty good for a high protein snack since it’s only like 130 calories for the whole stick and it’s all protein. The flavor could be better but it’s not bad and definitely basic so it appeals to more people. I would say that it can be tough on spots but overall it’s been a nice backup when I feel like I haven’t had enough protein.
