I had high hopes for these since discovering how good dates + chocolate could be from other products. The ingredients are simple and straightforward, which is always nice to see.
Sadly, while overall these are fine if not particularly chocolate-y, the included chocolate chips taste like health food chocolate chips, and I honestly can’t tell why from the ingredient list. Might be the percentage of chocolate liquor, or the vanilla powder, or even an imbalance of cane sugar ratio, but it leaves a kind of gross taste shooting through every bite, and lingers after I’ve swallowed my mouthful.
Mind, I have rather sensitive taste buds and so I think most people won’t taste what I do. Overall they taste fine, it’s just that element cuts through relentlessly on my palate.
The pieces are about the size of a quarter, much smaller than the pics would make you think. The walnuts are pretty evenly distributed. They look like brownie bites but TBH don’t taste much like brownies. There’s barely enough cocoa to register as “intended to taste like chocolate,” which some people will like, some won’t.
$35.94 for 6 packs of 9 pieces each is about 67 cents a piece, or $2 per 3 piece serving, or $5.99/bag. For me, personally, I wouldn’t purchase at this price because of the odd taste that I’m not liking, it’s very distracting from what otherwise tastes like a nice little fiber snack.

These are really good “brownie bites.” They are soft, dense, chewy, and full of deliciousness. Almost all of the sugar is from the dates and the ingredient list has nothing to avoid. A real masterpiece of a chocolate treat. They are pricy, but they are oh, so very good. Highly Recommended.

If you like dates, you’re going to love these! They’re soft and chewy like a fudge brownie, and the fruit flavor is so nicely balanced with the chocolate. The ratio of nuts per date pop is very good, too. It’s hard to stop eating these, but since they’re such a good alternative to junk food snacks, I don’t feel too guilty about that.

I really like these. They taste fresh and delicious..and even home made. No weird aftertaste or anything like that.
The walnuts taste fresh and are very flavorful. The date flavor is subtle to me. Perhaps they are in there more as a sweetener If you have hunger pangs these should hold you over. The problem is to not eat the entire bag
I dont know that I would classify them as a ‘protein bar’. They have 2 grams of protein per serving.
I wonder what the other flavors taste like, so am suggesting they have a ‘variety pack’
They are $35.94 for a carton of 6 bags / 3.5 oz’s per bag, that comes to $27.43 per pound. I’m deducting a star because of the price.
