I’ve been eating these noodles every weekday for the past year. You can steam them right in the plastic sack they come in, but I bought silicone steamer bags since it’s probably bad for my health to microwave plastic 5 days/week. I just dump the noodles in the steamer bag, throw some frozen peas/broccoli/edamame in with the noodles, put a couple of tablespoons of water in the bag, and then seal the bag almost all the way. After microwaving the bag for about 2.5 minutes, I dump it all into a bowl with soy sauce, red pepper flakes, and wasabi paste and I have the perfect meal that took almost zero effort.
In terms of freshness, about a year ago I got a shipment where one noodle packet (out of 12) had some mold. I haven’t seen any mold since then (and again, I’ve been eating these 5 days/week for a year).

I have been getting these for awhile now, in my monthly subscribe & save order. Have had no issues. Everyone at home loves them and they are super convenient.
That is, until the other day. The last delivery I got was the beginning of November. I had used some in early November, but had not touched them since. The other day, I went to use them. Until I noticed green and black mold growing inside the package. Ok, it happens and I tossed that one. Ended up tossing the second package in that bag because it didn’t seem air tight anymore and I didn’t want to chance it. Open another. Both bags in this one had mold – tossed them. Opened up the final package and almost lost it right there. One bag seemed ok. The other was brown liquid and mush. Completely liquefied in the bag.
I had not even had these a month and they were stored properly – so I look at the expiration date. The order I received in November had an expiration date of August 15. When I received them, they were already 2 1/2 months expired. They are not eligible for return or replacement. Unfortunately, I don’t think there’s anything I can do, except be happy that no one in my home got sick off these. As much as I like them, I don’t think I’ll use them ever again.

Udon noodles are a great base for making a whole range of stir-fry dishes. When added, along with the sauce mix, to the fully-cooked protein and/or vegetables, these pre-cooked noodles save time and effort. They hold the sauce and have enough “bite” to hold their own in the finished dish. Good quality… good price… always ready on the shelf!

These are the best I have been able to find in terms of thickness. I cant find the super thick Udon noodles that I get in restaurants, but this is pretty good. Like the size of a pencil. They’ve got that odd chewy texture that I think so many of us go for. These should hit the spot for you.
I like that they are so easy to work with and do a great job of picking up and taking on flavor of sauces and seasonings. While I can find this brand in a grocery store, I still live bit of a drive away to get to it. I am much more likely to have it quicker ordering it here than making a special trip to buy it. This multi pack is a reasonable price. Some sellers gougem which makes me just take the trip to the store instead. There may be better options out there, but I haven’t found any to try. It has to be thick soft noodles. That is what I am craving when I think of these Udon noodles. Not the same with dry, flat uncooked noodles.
Each package is a set of two, and there are 6 packages (of 2) in this “pack of 6”. Any time I have purchased from the store, I pick up 2 packages (which is 4 small packs) as I have a huge appetite, and when I have Udon noodles, the focus in on consuming the noodles and not so much as the add ins. There are left overs, of course. And that is the best part- eating these the next day after the flavors have melded together. MMMM. When I made a dish for my husband and I recently, I again used 2 full packages and added in beef strips, snap peas, hoison sause and a couple other goodies. We each had a good sized serving, he went for seconds, and I packed up the rest for him to take as a work lunch. Sad for me as I didn’t get to have a second round.
Preparing is easy. I dump them into a colander, rinse them with warm water, add them to a pan with sauce and let them pick up the flavoring. Some of the noodles stick together at first and may break- or if you let them warm up in the sauce they will un stick.

Nice item. Thank you.

We have been eating these noodles for about 10 years and love them, since we flavor the noodles based on what sauce we have made that evening for dinner. Try them …. you will not be disappointed. Before we stopped patronizing Wal-Mart, we purchased them in individual packages. This is nice because we can order online and place into our reserve pantry. Thank you.

I recently purchased KA-ME Udon Noodles from Amazon, and I am thoroughly impressed with the quality and taste of these noodles. From the moment I opened the package, I could tell that these noodles were going to be something special. The texture of the noodles was perfect – chewy and satisfying.
The flavor of the KA-ME Udon Noodles is exceptional, rich, authentic taste that reminded me of the udon noodles I have had at traditional Japanese restaurants. The noodles absorbed the broth well, making each bite flavorful and delicious.
I will def buy them again.

I like to make my own asian soups and these noodles are very convenient when I am in the mood for Udon noodle soup!
