I purchase King of Joe Espresso quite regularly, and always keep it stocked in the drawer under our Tassimo. I must admit that I feel a little guilty for using single-use coffee discs because of the waste involved. If you find a way to reliably recycle them, I’d love to know. In the mean time before our machine quits working (we’ve had it now for 3 years, a Bosch), I will keep this type of coffee in the regular stable of choices we have at home.
This disc yields a nice bold doppio size shot with a quality foam head on the top. I like it with some hot water added as an Americano, or sometimes I brew it right on top of ice in a tumbler, add a little cream and water, and I’ve got myself a great iced drink.
This stuff is never bitter, excellent tasting, and super quick. It’s a bargain compared to Starbucks.

I’m kind of an espresso snob and am a big fan of this espresso. It’s very strong, in both taste and caffeine punch, which I love. It’s even good cold, for those mornings I totally forget I made espresso and then re-discover the two-ounce pour in my mug a few hours later.
The only thing I regret is the lack of recyclable packaging. I would seriously pay double for recyclable packaging, guys. Or refillable. I feel terrible throwing this plastic disc out every day. But apparently I do feel worse when I don’t have my espresso.

I’ve ordered several packages of these discs since I first discovered them (after it became impossible to find the ones I’d previously been purchasing), and other than once, they’ve been great. Smooth yet strong enough to stand up to my latte-esque drink (I’m too lazy to steam the milk during my morning rush).
Unfortunately, I did get one package that had two issues: the espresso was super bitter (luckily, I a high enough milk/creamer : coffee ratio that it was drinkable), and one of the bar codes must’ve been a bit off, as the machine started preparing it as if it were a regular coffee. Fortunately, I was nearby and use a large enough cup that it wouldn’t have overflowed, but I could tell by sound after the brewing started that something was off, and the water just kept coming and coming as it does for a regular coffee pod. Since the machine has worked fine every other time, I’m assuming the issue was with the code on the pod, not the machine itself.
For the price, you really can’t beat it, at least 95% of the time.

I buy this all the time and really should put this on a subscription. It is a lot easier than breaking out my expresso maker to make a shot to add to my regular coffee.
Update: These little pods are deceiving I ran out the other day and broke out my expresso maker and realized when I use the expresso maker I make two shots of expresso at a time so my coffee is stronger.

I love my lattes. But I am not a fan of the milk pods that tassimo has. Just never tastes real to me. So I want just the espresso to make my own lattes. And this makes a great one. I am a Starbucks addict, and the lattes I make using these pods are comparable in flavour and taste to me.
I put just over a cup of 2% milk in a pyrex 4 cup glass jug. I take my stick blender, and froth up the milk for like 20 seconds. I put the jug in the microwave for 2 mins. While that is in the microwave, I brew my pod of espresso. By the time it has finished brewing, I have hot milk in the microwave. I pour that over the top. And I have a latte. If you like sweet latte, you can easily add syrups. For me the most sweetness I can tolerate is a sprinkle of chocolate powder.

This is excellent coffee! It is difficult enough to get decent coffee in the USA (yes, I am a coffee snob), but this one I approve of.
It is even a great espresso. I learned to drink espresso in Italy, so I know what it should taste like. And while King Joe espresso is still not quite there, it is very good.
And of course I love Tassimo as it is just so easy to get a cup of coffee. Turn the machine on, insert a t-disc and press a button. When I wake up in the morning that is just about the level of difficulty I can deal with.
A note on pricing: For some odd reason it is cheaper to buy the 16-pack then to buy any other amount. So, if you need a lot, just buy multiple 16-packs.

The Espresso taste of this coffee is wonderful. Just wish I could order 80 as I used to be able to do.

King of Joe Espresso T-Disks make a bold, smooth splash of espresso. I do wish King Joe (or any brand of T-Disks for that matter) made a bigger pour version. Three discs for a decent size cuppa Joe makes for a pricey morning brew.

Okay, I roast my own coffee beans, I grind them by hand (Zassenhaus), I dial in my shots … I am <ahem> a coffee snob, and I’m not ashamed to admit it.
When I’m feeling lazy — something that happens in spurts around here — this is my fallback double-shot. I can’t honestly say that my own shots are vastly superior; some are, some aren’t. The Tassimo delivers exactly the same shot every freakin’ time, no matter what. There is no roasting, no grinding, no weighing, no timing … just enjoyment.
If you’re an occasionally lazy home-roaster — or just someone who wants a good machine-shot — this is it. [Hint: Go for the "Add-On" product, and save huge money over time! Contrast a buck a brew versus USD 0.60/double shot of perfectly acceptable espresso with crema that goes on forever, and this is the winner hands-down.

This is the best Espresso on the market, bar none!
Rich and frothy, with an extremely smooth texture and flavor, without any bite or bitterness.
Every morning, I combine one disc of this with one disc of French Roast into the same (13 oz.) cup, with raw sugar, and get a full cup of morning go-juice. All the caffeine of two cups of coffee, in just one cup (A Starbucks Red-Eye, to all of you who know what that is.).
Retired Navy thumbs-up approval!
Start your day right.
