Works as intended, very pleased with it. Might take some adjusting to fix in the intended position, but it stays put well. Jiggles if you touch your phone. Still, works great for my purposes, would reccomend!

Strong clamp. Sturdy product and I like the swivel ball so you can move it around to your liking. It’s also long so there’s plenty room to maneuver it. I’m a happy customer!

This is a very sturdy holder. I use it to hold my phone in bed. The gooseneck is very stiff and takes 2 hands to bend, but it holds whatever shape you put it in really well. Occasionally the section that tightens the clamp loosens, probably because I move that part a lot, but it’s easy enough to tighten it again. I don’t have a tablet, but I don’t think it would work that well for a tablet, it just doesn’t open that wide. It’s fine for a phone though. And the clamp easily fit on the headboard of my bed with no fear of slipping off, it’s on there.
My only complaint is that it does have a lot of bounce. Maybe it’s the way I have it curled, or maybe it’s because it’s so stiff, but when I play a game or type on my phone. The arm does bounce a bit. If you wanted to watch movies though it would be great.
I haven’t noticed any trouble with worn or broken fittings that others have mentioned, and I rotate my phone from portrait to landscape and in between all the time.

Worked well until it broke. Does not stay in place as something snapped inside the articulating tube
Update: Lamicall customer service was excellent and they responded within a couple of days. They issued a refund. I changed my overall rating because of the quick response and the fact that Lamicall stood behind their product. I re-ordered the phone holder because of their great customer support and changed my rating accordingly.

First, my intent on buying this was to mount on a baby grand piano and be able to do video lessons with students. My concerns when buying it were:
1. How strong the goose neck would be? I have goose neck mic stands and the goose necks do not hold in position anything very heavy. Nor do they hold their shape very well. This holder seems well made and of solid construction. The goose neck portion is VERY strong and feels like a solid piece of steel rod. It takes much more effort to bend than a normal mic stand goose neck. It does hold its shape very well.
2. How would it attach to the piano. I did not want something that would damage the finish but hold tightly. The clamping mechanism is easy to adjust and tighten down. The clamp itself has some rubber pads that keep it from scratching the piano.
3. Will the phone clamp securely hold the phone when placed facing down. The clamp is strong enough to securely hold the phone in any position. There are a couple ridged areas that you will want to make sure the phone is behind to make it secure.
Now for a few “take note of” points.
1. The piano is on wooden floor joist and not a concrete floor. While playing or even walking around the piano there is some “bouncing” of the piano. It is not a whole lot, but it is there. This causes some bouncing and movement of the holder and phone. It is not so much due to the holder but on what it is attached. I might have to move it to a stand on the floor, but it also bounces some. I will need to check to see how much it affects the view by the student.
2. Dialing “911”. I have an iPhone which has the capability to dial 911 when pressing the side buttons together. Be careful not to clamp the clamp over these two buttons. Also, do not press these buttons while trying to put the phone in the clamp. You can either take note of this while inserting the phone or simply turn off this feature on the phone. The later was my choice after accidentally dialing 911.
Otherwise, good quality and price. Sturdy. I can see it working for multiple scenarios and applications.

Very sturdy, yet flexible. I love, love, love it. It fits my Iphone 12 Pro with no issues at all. The stem is long enough to do whatever I need and to move it out of the say as well. It’s awesome, I would buy another one.
***UPDATE***
It was awesome until it was not. I’ve had this for 7 months and it’s failed. The neck has snapped from the base and now just flops and won’t hold up at all. It’s useless. So disappointed because it’s become a desktop necessity. Will look for a different brand and keep trying to see if I can get one that lasts at least a year with mild desktop and bedside use. The neck has completely come out of the cover.
I would recommended getting this for only light use in one location without to much movement.
**UPDATE***
Company sent a replacement very quickly. The customer service was excellent and had no issues. I now have 3 of them in the house because they are so useful.

The clamp that holds the phone breaks easily. Most of these have same design… the tines are too narrow to handle stressed of grabbing and moving the phone around. I glued it back together over five times with professional strength super glue to keep it going. It would hold for a while, but eventually would snap again. Just not worth it anymore… tired of phone falling on me.
Just ordered and received this one:

Not only is it less expensive but it seems a lot sturdier, especially the phone mount. The phone mount is more like the ones used in cars. The clamp on the original one was always a pain in getting it to hold on to the phone, it would slip out easily (causing you to “over use” the clamp, making it more likely to snap). The new one seems sturdier and the flex is stronger and does not creek when you are adjusting it, so it won’t wake up my wife in bed :-). The flex portion is a little shorter, but plenty enough. I mount above on bed. The shorter stronger flex will mean it doesn’t wobble around as easily as well.
We’ll see… fingers crossed…

Worth the investment, it’s sturdy and the neck oddly enough feels like… a goose or turkey neck… besides the point; Remember pipe cleaners and how they bend? Same articulation, you will have to apply some pressure to it like you’re breaking a normal-sized stick to adjust it the way you want. It stays and holds the phones weight- I use a Iphone 12 Pro and it had NO give or drooping due to weight overtime. Stays perfectly still throughout the night while I sleep

Sure, it took them three redesigns to get it right. But they kept working until they had it – something their competitors failed to do. What makes me the expert? I have been using similar phone arms from others since early 2017. I have bought more than a dozen of these arms over the years, continually replacing them as they all eventually broke. The most fragile part was the phone clamp, which was poorly designed using thin plastic – it rarely lasted more than a few months. Alternative phone clamps were so stiff that my fingers would collapse while trying to insert the phone. I have an oversized Galaxy S9+.
Why would I continue to buy these? Because, while they are working, these phone arms are a really, really useful. My favorite use is for hands-free reading Kindle books, watching YouTube videos, etc. after I go to bed. Great way to distract me and shut my mind down so I fall asleep. Just be sure the book is not too exciting. Key accessory: try connecting a Bluetooth mouse to your phone and put it under the sheets. No longer do you need to touch the phone which will otherwise do some bouncing.
You still might ask what is so great about this arm compared to others? All of the material choices are heavy duty – there are NO thin and frail plastic pieces to break. The phone is easy to mount with a mild but firm spring, and it is a snap to position thanks to a ball-socket joint. The arm itself is stiff, but I think it is a perfect compromise of rigidity and flexibility.
My hats are off to the engineers who designed this. For me it is one of those small things in life that makes it all more fun. Thank you for a job well done!

i use the Lamicall Gooseneck for my Galaxy S22+, and i have found that it fits snuggly and is easy to secure. i feel like the phone holder may be a tad too loose at times, but they are sufficient for many household and indoors purposes. great for watching videos in bed or at my desk; however, for many counters, you may find that the Lamicall Gooseneck’s clamps are too small to promote complete confidence over its security, and i have found that simply tugging at the phone holder at the right angle will slip the clamps off its position.
i would not recommend using the Lamicall Gooseneck for any outdoor shooting, and that is clearly not its purpose. the Lamicall Gooseneck shakes easily, so it is crucial that any photographer gives the phone holder ample time to steady and realign.
i have used the Lamicall Gooseneck as a stand for some unintended purposes as well. it works great as a hat stand, and i have attached cat toys to the neck and to the phone holder with great success as it bounces so easily to entertain my kittens.
overall, a fine product for indoors use that will probably be usable for longer than you would need it for. i recommend considering the price seriously.
