The bendable part is pretty sturdy … almost too hard to bend. It takes two hands. But once you get it positioned the way you want, it’s very good at holding the phone up at eye level. The clasp holds the phone tightly. Mine is on a table by the recliner so I can easily answer calls, google something, or check the sports scores while watching TV or reading a book. The mount holds very tight to the table and is rubber padded so it won’t leave marks or dents. It does tend to shake if you are tapping on your phone screen too hard. This is not for tablet size, only cell phones.

so it’s not often i write reviews right out of the gate, but this product necessitates it. i use these kinds of products to film videos from directly above me, which means that the phone is suspended directly above me (parallel) while i’m laying down. ive had probably 3-4 gooseneck clamps before and there are a couple things that are hard to get away from.
first, because of the way my camera needs to be held, its typically difficult to get the camera to stay in the exact same position. it has a tendency to slowly droop toward me (downward) as i film. it’s just bc the weight distribution is particularly challenging at that angle, and i’m really testing the products limits like that. the next issue i run into is that i typically get the black, tightly spring-loaded clamps. these are fine, but they have a tendency to break over time and press buttons i dont want them to. another small issue is that i have long natural nails and i always feel like i’m taking a risk pulling the tight clamps open to wedge the phone in. lastly, i’ve noticed that on other products, the clamp where you attach it to your desk or whatever can scuff up the edge of whatever youre trying to attach it to, which is annoying.
lord almighty, was this immediately a different experience. as far as the stiffness of the goose neck? night and day. it was immediately pretty difficult to unfold it, which is a great sign. it was difficult to maneuver, but not impossible which made me very optimistic out the gate. now as far as the clamp to hold the phone goes, its perfect. it operates like a claw clip, its not difficult at all to take the phone in and out, my nails are safe, and there are perfect grooves and rubber pads for friction to hold the phone in place. it did not push buttons on the phone, it didnt move around, AND you can rotate the head after you put the phone in the clamp for quick change from portrait to landscape. i’m so impressed.
as far as where the clamp attaches to the desk or headboard, the clamp is plastic and does have little pads to hold it in place as well. its sooo easy to attach and i’m not even sort of concerned about this leaving any marks. you screw it to tighten or loosen and it is very sturdy.
none of this even touches on the fact that, aesthetically, this clamp is sooooo much prettier than the simple black ones. the rose gold is *chefs kiss*.
i’ve attached a photo to illustrate what i mean when i’m describing the angle that the phone is held, but instead of the phone (which is about 8 ounces), it is holding my very heavy and thick portable battery which is around 4-5 times heavier than my phone. it’s not budging. if my phone actually was that massive, i still would not be afraid of it falling on me.
i’m so glad i bought this. if i have an issue, i will update this review later. but right out of the box, this is by far the best quality of any filming tool i’ve used yet!

This is great for holding your cell phone if you are watching a movie or social media. It does have a couple things that could use improvement. One is the wire it is on is hard to bed. It literally takes both hands to move it around. The other thing I noticed is it bobs if you touch your phone while clasped on. The wire is so stiff that it just wiggles so you can’t text febrile clasped on, you’d have to hold your phone still to text. Beyond that it meets my expectation. I was hoping it was more flexible

I have been creating instructional videos for over ten years. I’ve tried numerous tripods over the years. As cellphones got better, I switched from a dedicated video camera setup to using my cellphone. However, most cellphone tripods I used had a wealth of issues. They would be easy to tip over, hard to get the cellphone into, and most of all, they would create a barrier between me and the artwork. I’d have to reach around or behind the tripod to get to things I needed.
Finally, I decided there had to be a better way. I looked into ways to clamp the cellphone “over” my art desk area, so the cellphone and its support were wholly away from my working area. I found this Lamicell gooseneck clamp mount, and it seemed absolutely perfect for me!
First off, the gooseneck is STURDY. So many other ones droop or bend over time. That would have driven me absolutely crazy. This one is stiff and steady. Yes, you can bend it, to get it into the shape you want. Once you do, you can know it’s going to stay there. The shape I need is a U which goes up toward the ceiling and then back down again. You can imagine that the weight of this setup would be continually pulling the unit down toward the floor. The gooseneck holds against that. It is nice and strong in its shape.
The clamp is strong and secure. It holds onto the shelf and is solid there. I have zero concern about it.
The connector to the cellphone itself is also awesome. So many of my other tripods have connectors which are really challenging to use, especially with one hand. This one is incredibly easy. Just squeeze and it opens up. It is quite easy to get the phone exactly the way you want without accidentally pushing buttons.
I should have bought this MONTHS ago. It would have saved me so much grief. I’m glad I have it now, and am just thrilled with how it operates.
So again, note that the gooseneck IS STIFF. It doesn’t easily twist. So if you need something you can constantly bend or rearrange, this might not be for you. But for me, it is absolutely perfect. I want to evaluate an ideal angle and then have it stay there.
Highly recommended.

i bought this to clamp onto the side of my bed tray, so i could have my phone within view whilst working, instead of trying to awkwardly position my phone on my lap. i must say it works really well and feels very sturdy.
the neck is very hard to bend and move, as other reviews have said, but it stays in place really well that way too.
the clamp for your phone has some rubbery bits on, it, so it clings on really well to your phone and i have not experienced any slipping or anything, even with how much my bed tray gets wobbled or jostled around. it even turns (without you having to bend the neck), so you can change from vertical to horizontal with ease.
if you don’t mind wrestling with the neck of this phone stand a little to bend it into the position you want, i definitely suggest getting this phone stand.

I bought the Lamicall Phone Holder earlier this week and I’ve been very happy with it. It’s a sturdy and flexible device that can hold my phone securely in any position. I have it attached to a shelf next to my bed and it works great for nighttime phone use in bed. I can watch videos, browse the web, or chat with friends without having to hold my phone or strain my neck. It was very easy to install and it does not damage the surface. It also looks sleek and stylish. I would recommend this product for anyone who wants to use their phone hands-free and comfortably. It’s a good value and a smart investment.

My intended use is for stable video captures of dog training.
I am not sure whether this will work in the long run successfully.
IF your intended use is a stationary desk setup / semi permanent placement – to allow you to use, your phone, see incoming messages, calls or watch movies, etc, while working. This device should be Great (5 stars).
1️⃣. I have a iPhone 14 pro max with a hard case attached. The power button on the phone is larger and on the right edge of the phone, two vol buttons on the left edge.
⚠️ First time I clamped to the Mount phone holder – my phone turned off (the power button is in the way for center holding. The second time my phone went to place an emergency SOS call, because the buttons being held down together for more than a few seconds… Need to turn off that phone feature.
Need to place my phone in holder further towards the bottom of the phone.
2️⃣. The gooseneck is visible in the camera view. Very Difficult for me to adjust to get it out of view. I was finally able to get it out of view. I will have to juggle this everytime I try to use.
3️⃣. The rigid sturdiness (a plus) of the gooseneck. I doubt this portion will break or wear. You will not be moving it much, because it is not a pliable, easy to adjust feature. Sturdy – absolutely. It will not cause the mounted phone to slip out of position due to this part!
4️⃣. Clamp to hold phone itself. Appears to be lightweight, low cost, cheap plastic – that could easily break if you are not careful. It did easily hold my iphone 14 pro max. It can NOT be rotated. This clamp really needs a ball-head.
5️⃣. Clamp for the Base. Easy to turn handle to open and close the clamp. The sleeve that you turn, may break off – if you intend to move the mount to different tables/desks often. If using only at your desk – and will be stationary – this will work Great.
➡️ Recommend Re-Design:
(1) Could definitely use a ball-head feature for the phone holder. That will provide increased and easier flexibility for users, and it will allow the gooseneck to easily be rotated out of view.
(2) Swivel at the gooseneck base. Can have a locking lever to lock in place. Unlock – to just swivel the sturdy gooseneck out of the way, when you get up & down.
Overall – I will be searching if there is a better option for my ‘heavy & large’ iPhone for quick, impromptu, sturdy video captures, that can be used almost anywhere.
Side NOTE: I do not see this device holding a Pad. I think my phone is the largest device it would comfortably hold.

This gooseneck cell phone holder is great for hands free recording. I used it clamped onto a small side table near where I paint, and it stays tightly secured and prevents unsteady videos because it holds onto my iPhone 14 Pro very well. It will be useful to record while I paint, to add short videos online if I want. I can see it also being helpful on a long facetime call if I’m on my cell phone, and I can be “hands free!”
My only negative is that I wish the clamp would go over a slightly thicker table. Mine is about an inch thick, and it works well, but cannot clamp a much thicker table top.

I bought this device because I Injured my arms and using my phone in bed hurts a lot when I have to bend my elbow. I have had a gooseneck device before and one of those straight ones with the joints you can bend and then tighten a screw to lock it. They usually have trouble holding up the weight of a phone and end up bending. But not this one, I love how stiff the gooseneck is on this device. It takes a bit more strength than a normal one to adjust it but that’s perfectly fine given how sturdy it is. There would be no point of having one that was easy to adjust but was useless at holding the position you need it in.
This is the best I have seen it’s stronger than any of the ones I have had before and will stay in place for a long time. I left my phone and the device in the position shown in the picture for about 4 hours and it never moved so you can use it in bed to watch a movie without needing to readjust it. If you look closely in the picture it’s mounted to a pole not a flat surface like the end of the table and yet it’s solid and doesn’t move. I definitely couldn’t do that with my old one it would slide down as you tried to adjust it.
My phone is about 3.125 inches wide and it fit in the mouth of the device with no problem. If there is one part I think might not last the full life of the device is the rubber piece inside the mouth that has a lip to grip/hold a phone in place. Although I don’t think it’s a huge problem because I tried pushing it out of the way and only using the harder outer part of the mouth and it held the device no problem. This is a rough measurement but if you want to use the lip on the rubber part it seems that part will extend to around 3.5 inches while the part beneath the lip which is the widest part of the mouth goes up to 4 inches which will be enough for almost every phone with a case. I would definitely recommend it!
